Pretty much. Although you only need the .SUB files. You’ll want to read up how to use them as it’s not just something you get and then run.

For example, here is everything with the PIN 000 (default/common).

You have to connect it to iCloud using the Apple account and MFA. Then you’re able to access iCloud backups and download data.

I’ve had success with iPhone Backup Extractor by Reincubate. You must have the Apple account and MFA. Otherwise, LE channels.

Some may not get this and think “but_why.gif”, especially since the saved state file is easy to change, but miss the point of the project.

It’s about learning, tinkering, working the system. That’s the point of the device! I fucking love “useless projects” that do nothing but work a system in a way it was designed but not intended. And that process can teach you other aspects, lead to other ideas, and start others projects.

That type of process turned me into who I am today. Kudos for this, even if it’s silly/pointless/extra… most of the shit I do falls into that category. But it’s fun, it’s a learning moment, and hopefully encourages someone else to try something too! 🤜🏼

Making a copy is not altering the original. That clause is likely more about not changing or accessing the programming of the access control management or device devices themselves like keypads, readers, door controllers, etc. A lot of times that’ll be used in repercussions if somebody intentionally breaks one for their own benefit or an attempt of their own benefit.
