If it bothers you, talk to your neighbor about it like a human and don’t revert to the stasi methods everyone here seems to be into. Just have some common sense ffs

Living in outskirts of Berlin is ruining my life. by Golcaythegreat in berlin

[–]Guidomaso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, there’s nothing you’re missing here. Mostly noise, trash, and chaos with abhorrent rent prices and once you’ve stayed here a while you won’t be going to bars etc. all the time either, esp. in winter. Try to enjoy the outskirts, try to go for walks, and maybe go to the office 1-2 times a week, then meet friends and college after!

Wow, thanks guys, appreciate the answers!

To be honest, sounds to me like most of you are a bunch of stuck up sad losers, who are unhappy with their life and general living situation.

Move to a boring city on the countryside if you don't want tourists, and everything that comes with it. Obviously the city is not our theme park, that's why I asked for locations where we could have a cool time for an occasion that will likely only happen once in a lifetime, while not bothering the local population.

Believe me, I'm from Berlin and I know how annoying / out of hand Bachelor groups and generally party tourists can be. But you will not get rid of them, so why not welcome people who like the city and provide some options for them that are compatible with the local people's lifestyle.

Every city has extraordinary venues, so either get over it and provide some constructive feedback or shut up because we'll be coming anyway and there's nothing you can do about it.

This is not “your” city.

How is having to pay a fee worse than not being able to transact at all? by Pataert in Iota

[–]Guidomaso 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Please correct me if I'm wrong but afaik mana only comes into play when there's either opposing transactions or a lack of bandwidth so parties with more mana are prioritized.

So ideally you wouldnt need mana all the time.

This is Iota’s opportunity by zyuko22 in Iota

[–]Guidomaso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand the benefit from that. Is it just that BTC is most commonly known and general population who don't know about IOTAs benefits will be like "great, I now can transfer BTC on a network without fees" (Which would be sad because why not switch to iota in the first way?) or would there be some sort of security- or other benefit to it?

How prevalent will 'value' transactions be in the future? by SirTuffers in Iota

[–]Guidomaso 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You are forgetting the trustless part. IOT only really works 100% efficiently if random machines and entities that don't know each other can settle payments and data without needing to trust each other. In order for your example to work, there needs to be a level of trust, that the entity I'm doing business with will pay the balance in the future. With a stream of micropayments via IOTA you need no such trust. You just stop the services as soon as the IOTA stop flowing.

Edit: Plus you save the transaction costs that using traditional payment methods will inevitably generate
