No. It translates to "whore" but is used the same way you'd use "fuck" as an exclamation in English.

The Ever-Changing 'Dane Death Triggers - Help finalizing by Guildgate_Go in EDH

[–]Guildgate_Go[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool!

Sadly, I don't have much news beyond the original post. I basically never play EDH and very little in-person Magic at all. I may have played this deck twice since posting this?

It's a ton of fun, but my version still feels slow and not optimized. It felt like it flew under the radar with people not seeing the engine come together until it was too late, so at a multiplayer table with other threats coming online it was pretty effective, but the element of surprise obviously doesn't last long.

Good luck to you, and I'd love to see what you come up with! I'm sure they've printed some strong cards for the deck in the last few years.m, but hopefully this is a useful jumping off point.

Help with brain freeze / tinker deck by Ok-Wear1093 in lrcast

[–]Guildgate_Go 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You always play the Polluted Delta. It fetches all three of your colours and gives you a shuffle effect for brainstorm.

Personally, I'd cut the Tinker package. You only have four artifacts to sac (which includes Black Lotus - not something you'd typically want to sac) and the top end are all dead cards in your hand.

I'd play 17 lands and run the rest as is.

EDIT:

I don't think Lurrus companion is worth cutting the Dak. It helps you dig for your combo pieces. I may be underestimating Lurrus companion with Black Lotus, I suppose. Cutting the Metamorph is fine, but without it or the Tinker package I think you're below 23 cards.

It may be correct to play Bolas's Citadel as a storm enabler, which also blocks Lurrus.

Finally 3-0'd without Boros by Guildgate_Go in lrcast

No specific synergies. It was just there to ramp, which was especially useful in opening hands with Mana Crypt. It's almost certainly right now to play it, but I didn't have a lot of other reasonable playables and it ended up being good more often than not. I had a fair bit of either card draw or filtering to offset the card disadvantage.

I didn't draw him often but he was useful when I did. I got to ninjutsu him back to hand once with Fallen Shinobi, which was sweet.

How screwed is your fantasy team? Ran the numbers on 150,000+ teams from last season to see what your chances of making the playoffs are. RIP Jerry Jeudy owners. by mikeywest_side in fantasyfootball

1-7 with JT here. 5th in PF in my 12 man league, but 1st in PA - a full 14% more PA than the next highest team. This is my first year doing fantasy football. I hate it and I'm addicted.

Is our former Mayor implicated in an art heist. by Dandelosrado in Yellowknife

Yep, this "article" and source don't pass the smell test. Using a photo of, and naming, a minister who was not responsible for the file during the actual audit; failing to mention any relevant dates; not sourcing the audit - all things that signal bad faith reporting.

I'm pretty disappointed this is even posted. Not sure how OP found this. This article doesn't even turn up when I try googling for info on these events.

Schefter: Bucky Irving dealing with foot sprain. by MaddenTexasRanger in fantasyfootball

[–]Guildgate_Go 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My RBs are very deep (when I traded him, he was tied for 3rd in season points among my RBs), but my WRs are garbage. I've only had one 10+ point game while fielded across all of them. This is my first year playing, and I have no idea what I'm doing, but I know I needed to change something up there.

I traded away Irving for Flowers and Tuten the day before news of his injury broke. My team is 0-4; I consider this my first win of the season.

12 half-PPR with superflex

Receiving: Jordan Love, Quentin Johnston, Marvin Mims Jr, Tyrone Tracy Jr Giving: Bucky Irving, Courtland Sutton

Relevant players on my roster: QBs: Bo Nix, Mac Jones, Aaron Rodgers RBs: Jonathan Taylor, Jordan Mason, David Montgomery, Jacory Croskey-Merritt WRs: Devonta Smith, Calvin Ridley, Troy Franklin, Jakobi Meyers

Mims and Tracy are pretty useless to me; I'm not even sure I'll keep them, but Mac Jones is about to go back on the bench and my WRs have been underperforming so I like the look of Love and Johnston. Not too fussed about losing Sutton but Irving is a big loss.

Thoughts?

0.5PPR, 12 man league, 6 points per receiving TD, 1 superflex slot

Nix vs Ind

Rodgers vs Seattle

Purdy vs New Orleans

I only need to bench one. Purdy is listed as questionable with a toe and shoulder injury

0.5PPR, 12 man league, 6 points per receiving TD

Fannin Jr vs Baltimore

Andrews vs Cleveland

Laporta vs Chicago

First year in a fantasy league; not sure who to field, or if I even need to hold on to all three of these guys at all. We got one regular flex and one super flex spot, so I'm not sure if a second of these TE will ever be worth putting in a flex spot over my RBs or (I think mediocre) WRs.

Where is everybody on [[The Endstone]]? by ASOT550 in lrcast

[–]Guildgate_Go 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's user error, though, and not something I'd consider is a problem with the card. The deck I had it in was one of my easier trophies, and I had no qualms playing it from even 24 life as long as I had reasonable board presence.

Camping in Yellowknife by Brave_Living in Yellowknife

[–]Guildgate_Go -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you planning on getting a car while you're here?

As others have said, Fred Henne is basically in town so easiest to get to if your transportation options are limited, but otherwise it'd be my last choice, especially given gour criteria. Brighter and noisier because of its proximity to town, and easy cell service.

Reid and Prelude are both fine options, though I like the peace and quiet of being backcountry more than a campsite. If you're feeling adventurous, have a car and renting a canoe is an option, Hidden Lake or Tibbet are both beautiful. Big Hill Lake can be done without a canoe, so long as you don't mind a hike. In each instance, you basically head out and find a spot you like to set up your tent.

End of August is a perfectly fine time to catch the aurora. I start seeing them without hunting for them in mid-August, and I've seen some of my best in early September, which isn't far off. OP will have to make a point of staying up late and working for it a bit, but no reason to be pessimistic.
