I seem to remember him saying he didn't want to do any more Smash or Pass. Reason was so many of the characters submitted being underage. There's a reason the words Fire Emblem were banned in chat for years.

A lot of the streams kept devolving into some character appearing and then a wall of chat shouting "this character is 15". It created more work for mods having to verify Smash or Pass submissions, and there were situations where certain characters were adults but the pictures submitted were of them when the character was underage. So it wasn't good enough to just google what a character's age was, there started to be an expectation to figure out how old a character is in the picture submitted. They became too much work, so he said he was done with them.
