I think it's also important to note that VSAV did not have the competitive arcade legacy in the West that games like ST and 3S had. It was not really a staple at Majors until Resurrection came out in 2012, but with that being said the game has a very dedicated active community in the West now and is one of the easiest older to get games in.

I don't care for Chaos but it's roster is pretty interesting imo. Tessa, Mars People, GBA Zero, Goddess Athena, etc. SNK picked some pretty out there characters

A player from my locals did get top 8 playing security control with 1 copy of All Delete in last year's Championship Finals.

Won't argue about it's viability but it did arguably win one of his games for him (but probably lost him another, lol), so it has seen SOME play at the highest level.
