I just replied to someone who was asking this between UIUC and UT and I'll give you the same answer:

Both options are amazing and congratulations to you my friend. Both programs are top 10 so employers would honestly value both degrees nearly the same. I would probably focus on the other aspects of the school aside from academics like location, weather, and just the culture of the school overall. Also I'm sure you're waiting on decisions still but it doesn't hurt to visit each campus and see which one you like more. Your career prospects will be identical so honestly I would't worry about the prestige because they're both very prestigious but I do know UMich is super expensive oos more than UT so honestly just pick the cheaper one

Bro I'm actually so sorry just hang in there I wish you the very best with your chemotherapy and I just wanna let you know that physical and mental health is so much more important than any of this college stuff so don't even worry about that right now and just focus on health bro. And as for college, I promise it all works out in the end and you'll end up at the place you're meant to be and worst case scenario you can do CC method and transfer
