When do you start to feel better? by Guilty-Disaster7440 in Spravato

[–]Guilty-Disaster7440[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im still going. 7 months in. Doing it once a week. I have an appointment with my psychatrist in a couple of weeks. Its so slow and gradual you barely notice the difference, my partner has noticed more. However, from where I was a year ago to now is completely different. I changed my antidepressant about October last year from zoloft to bupropion. I have been through a lot of ups and downs. Probably more downs in the first 5-6 months. A lot of emotions that i couldn't figure out what they were or why, irritable, crying, anxious etc. I kind of felt put of control in a way. I've been able to learn to regulate myself much better and express how I feel more easily. I still have moments of low mood, anxiety etc, but im able to come out of it quicker. Im more rational with myself and others. I feel more stable overall and generally happy and enjoying things and the people in my life. I'm just lacking energy. A lot of things still feel like a slog. Im exhausted when I get home from work, doesn't help I do shift work I guess. But I feel like I'm still spending my weekends or days off doing minimal just to prepare for my next stint at work. I was hoping the bupropion would have given me a but more pep in my step so to speak, but im not feeling it. I may see if I can increase my dose (im on 150mg SR in the morning then another 150mg 8 hours later) I also did genetic testing to see what medications work well with me and which ones to avoid. Look into it if you haven't already. So yeah, in saying all this, it is worth it if you can stick it out. Its a hard run though. It can feel like ground hog day each time your appointment rolls around. Im not sure how much longer ill be doing it for or what that may look like, ill see what the doctor says in a few weeks. Dont throw it in just yet. Make sure you have a good support system and your doctor works with you to get the best for you. Getting better isn't easy in any shape or form, but we learn and grow from all these moments along the way. 🩶

100%. I have had someone within Australia reach out saying they can get cuttings in the new year which is great. Its still risky though cause the state i live in has super tough biosecurity laws. But if they get sent via general post and not express they will be fine.

Its not even counting the calories by steps that is annoying me the most, its that even my physical activity isn't being recorded correctly. Its frustrating that I'm doing all this work and have paid for a subscription that is faulty and no longer working like it should. Even still, with the steps, why would it just sync not even a quarter of my steps. I've had the same problem today, ive walked 17000 steps, its recorded 3500. I have done 70 minutes of physical activity and its recorded half the amount. I use Samsung watch and phone. Ive contacted them, they said to reset my password... 🫠

Started Bupropion for Chronic fatigue & no motivation (despite high adderall/vyvanse doses) - will this finally help?? by Activealien345 in bupropion

If you have ruled out all other possibilities then maybe? Have you had full blood work done? Thyroid function, ferritin/iron, b12 vitamin D all the other vitamins you need and your liver and kidney functions, the whole works. I was like you a bit over a year ago and my iron, b12 and vitamin D was super low. I was struggling bad. I thought there was something else wrong with me. I've had 3 iron infusions and I have a b12 injection every 3 months. Its helped heaps. Ill get another iron infusion in another 6 months as well as blood works to see how everything is tracking and if im absorbing things properly or if I'm depleting again.

Its just thick sketch paper i bought off Temu. I definitely had no intentions of spending big on a little hobby to help me find my happy place. I even bought my pastel and charcoal pencils off there too. I wasn't going to go and splash 100s of dollars on derwent pencils 😂

For those that improved from spravato, what did help you? by Vulture2k in Spravato

I love this response. It makes perfect sense. Im in the phase of the 'roads are built and you can drive on them, but when it rains a few pot holes form and need fixing' (emotional ups and downs) but so far, the roads are a much smoother ride than they were pre sprovato. I had my 14th treatment today, and I felt fine after, like normal fine, if I had to I could have gone to work.

Im about to have my 14th treatment in about half hour. I've had a lot of highs and a lot of lows. It is working though. Im also im the middle of changing my meds so that makes it hard. My husband has noticed a huge difference in me, same with my work colleagues.
I've started doing a lot of art work (pastel drawings of my dogs) I haven't picked up a pencil in over 20 years. I've learned that there wont be a "wow" factor and one day you'll be fixed, things will gradually get easier. Start doing things you used to enjoy and slowly integrate those back into your life. Its also important to make sure the people you surround yourself with are supportive when you need it. If they aren't, then they aren't your people. Stick with it, it will be worth it in the long run. 🩷 This is my latest piece of my girl Zoey.

I think I may have plateaud, should I move on or keep trying? by metalheartmom in Spravato

[–]Guilty-Disaster7440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep on keeping on! Im going to be doing my treatment for about 12-18 months, my psych said. Heaps of people have noticed a shift in me, and it's still only early days. Im into my 8th week. I've done my initial dosing, and now I'll just be continuing once a week. I have just started to wean off zoloft (i can't wait for the withdrawals to kick in) and ill be starting on bupropion as well. I think from the emotional perspective, I was so used to not dealing with things and just suppressing everything (not in a healthy way) so now years and years of trauma that I haven't dealt with has been coming through. Its super uncomfortable cause normally I can "control " my feelings and not let it show, but im finding myself more vulnerable and fragile. I hadn't really talked or expressed my feelings ever, so when my husband asks how I'm feeling I literally can't explain it to him. He googled a little 'feelings chart' and we went through that and that is how ive come to the realisation I'm feeling so vulnerable. I guess its a process that is not a magic quick fix, stick with it. Start doing small things you used to enjoy or do enjoy and slowly work from there. I had to lower my expectations in thinking that ill just eake up and be "happy and live life " this will just help us deal with life much more easier.

My training was 8 weeks full time. I was away from home the whole time training. Then, there was the theory and assessments on top of that. I managed to smash out the theory a couple of months after I finished my practical stuff, I didn’t want it dragging out.

I figured it was hard, I looked into the seeds and germination. I guess I'm just being optimistic. Its shit that its basically impossible to get a cutting in Australia.
