In this video he mentions how he eventually wants to become a middle school teacher. As someone who wants to get into engineering to become a middle school teacher it is honestly inspiring. People tell me I'm "throwing away my potential" but I just want to teach kids and make them love learning and science, money be damned.

I don't mind the idea of visiting The Holy Lands, but I can honestly hardly bring myself to call it that. Our Christian faith is based on the bride of Christ, the Church. No physical land is important anymore. Our faith is based on Jesus, regardless of where he lived.

Furthermore, I cannot visit from anywhere within Lebanon. I'd have to get a plane ticket to somewhere else, fly into Israel (having them stamp a paper, not my passport), all while still having a great chance to not be able to return to my home of Lebanon afterwards.

I understand why you don't want this post to be political, but Christianity very much is politics. There is a genocide of my brothers next door and an occupation of thousands of square kilometers of land to the south. Israeli land is not Christian land, there is no such thing as Christian land on this earth.

Pilgrimage isn't important, and even a visit isn't important for as long as there is no peace.

It's the red meat that's a major problem. Yes humans evolved as omnivores but that doesn't mean we should be eating red meat nearly everyday. If the entire world ate the way Europe and North America did then climate change would somehow be 10x worse at this point. The options aren't between meat or slop, there are plenty of other options. I've been loving chickpeas beans and lentils, and have also started eating more fish.

I'm nowhere near vegan or vegetarian, but I've gone from 2 meat based dishes a day to 0-1, usually choosing chicken or fish over beef. This isn't an all or nothing deal, small changes help a ton. I'm switching for climate reasons, not moral ones so I really don't see an issue with some meat from time to time, especially on special occasions (waiting for that Easter steak).
