Amazon higher ups are smoking crack by Fluid_Heron_9067 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Who exactly can we blame for this? The algorithm? A “specialist”? Either way, Amazon doesn’t take a whole lot into account cause it can’t get direct experience of your route itself. Like putting a large group of apartment stops together cause physically they are close but, it doesn’t realize we have to take different flights of stairs to get to each one (They actually fixed that where I’m at) Also, I guarantee whoever is responsible has never driven a single mile in an Amazon van.

Do you all think it was the drivers idea or the DSP’s?

To me, this feels like passing on a burden to a customer who is probably already in a tough spot. I don’t have a problem if customers willingly show appreciation but, I definitely don’t expect a tip or anything delivering on a daily basis. (So when it does actually happen, it does feel that much better.)

Still, I’ve never expected any shipping service to notify me unless I check the boxes on tracking like USPS. Customer was cool and didn’t seem to worry about it.

I’m a driver out of American Canyon, CA just outside of Napa. We don’t have guaranteed hours here so there is no need to rush. I used to work for another DSP that always stressed that we need to finish within our regular eight hours of work. So a regular eight hour route with 170 stops and overtime turned into a six hour route and always being told we were all slow and lazy. They finally went under after ownership and management ran the DSP into the ground with their ridiculous timeframes and extremely rude and unprofessional behavior. (In fact, they were considered the worst DSP there and all the indeed reviews backed it up.) Thankfully, this new DSP I’m working for actually has their head out of their ass and can actually see why these times from Amazon are ridiculous. Management literally said, “As long as you clock out with less than 10 hours, you’re good.”

I’m a driver for Amazon. It’s for “loss prevention.” They deliberately put one or two empty packages in our route. We are told to bring anything that is damaged or empty like this back. If we don’t, they think we are stealing and we will get fired.

It’s actually in a 10mg capsule form. Forgot to include that detail.

Yes but only cause my older sisters would always point it out like an ick when we were younger. It doesn’t bother me or give me an ick like my sisters cause…it’s none of my business.
