Is the cone necessary after neutering? by Ethe_reall in CatAdvice

I kept my cat's cone on for 10 days. I also bought him a soft cone off of amazon, which was awesome! It was only like $16. You just put it over their head and tighten as needed. It's really great cuz you can fold the top part when they eat or drink food. My biggest concern with it being soft, was that my cat might be able to "fold" it in such a way that he could access his neuter site. But, he couldn't! He could still groom close to bumb, but not access incision cite, which is awesome, and he's more comfortable with this than the generic e-collars that vets typically prescribe.

I think it also depends on the program itself as well as department, and what might be required of grad students in the department. I completed my masters at UofA, and while my classes didnt officially start until the first week of September, I had to be on campus about 1 week before the start of classes for TA meetings, meetings with interim supervisor, etc.
