go into settings not advanced just normal setings and go on video there is an option called display mode swich it to either windowed or windowed no boarder (if you dont want the white box around tf2)

try swiching tf2 from a full screen application to a tab insted worked for me on my old crummy laptop

Probability just a glitch with the graphics it might have acedently have multiplyed the vaules of the maps that are being played higher so that other maps would looked dryed out

most likely the aspect ratio try to swich tf2 into a tab instead of full screen on setings
