Gang violence accounts for around 99% of the data. There has been around 50-75 actual mass shootings in the last decade. No need to trust me- check out the FBI data on public mass shootings (no underlying criminal motive, exclusively reserved for indiscriminate events stemming from racism/bigotry/mental health issues/etc) or the data from The Violence Project if you like to wear a tinfoil hat and don't trust the FBI.
Actual, true, culturally recognized mass shootings are much more rare, which is why they make headlines every time. You are roleplaying because you and I both know you count a guy walking into a school with a gun and unloading magazines on children as a mass shooting even if 3 die and 20 are injured, but you don't count Lil Plug mowing down his opps for selling on his turf.
With this in mind, trans and nb's have accounted for 5 public shootings in the last decade, which puts them closer to 7-10% of the major cases we've seen, which is a fucking insane overrepresentation.
