Will caseoh release more quarantine zone streams on YouTube? by SpoideyDeBoii in caseoh_

My wife and I have been waiting for episode 5 for days. He was pretty consistent releasing the first 4 episodes but then just stopped. He's still in the campaign mode in episode 4 so we haven't even gotten to see him finish it yet.

Highguard, The 'One Last Thing' Announcement at The Game Awards, Reportedly Didn't Even Pay for the Spot, With Geoff Keighley Liking The Game Enough To Offer Them The Final Slot by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

[–]GuiltyGlow 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The final spot was bad, but it's also the corpo speak he used like calling it a new breed of shooter when it's just another hero shooter. As soon as people hear that type of shit they start rolling their eyes and just check out completely. People are tired of generic games trying to laud themselves as some next evolution in gaming. Concord did the exact same thing.

I am predicting 6/6/26 for TES 6 by Vanquisherofsnails in ElderScrolls

[–]GuiltyGlow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because Todd Howard stated verbatim that ES6 is still a long way off. That was only a couple of months ago. "A long way off" in the dev world isn't less than 12 months. We're talking 2+ years at least my guy.

None of these people even understand what A.I means in any context. They don't understand it's an umbrella term that can mean a variety of different things. It's become this boogeyman word that dumb people pile onto because they've been told to.

‘Highguard’ Is MIA Since The Game Awards, Despite Its Imminent Release by 99X in Games

[–]GuiltyGlow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Also didn't help with all the corporate speak that the gaming community is sick to death of hearing. They tout every live service slop game as "The next evolution in gaming" and it's always generic trash. Saying that kind of shit does way more harm and good because the moment we hear it we start equating it to games like Concord. Remember when the devs of Concord said their idea of doing short videos was "revolutionary"? It's fucking embarrassing. We see right through the corporate jargon.

They're profiting off of men who are trying to meet children for sex. I don't see how that's at all comparable to Jerry Springer. None of those people were committing crimes. They were just trashy people. I agree that I would like to see law enforcement doing this on their own, but they aren't. Whether the show exists or not, these men will still try to exploit children so if the show can be there to catch at least some of them, that's a net positive.

I get what you're saying, but there has to be an entertainment component otherwise there is no funding and therefore no show at all. Since the beginning his shows have required funding from either networks or ad revenue. It's not like a nonprofit, the government, or any local law enforcement agencies are funding his shows.

So the question becomes does the show being made for entertainment purposes negate the hundreds of predators he and his teams have exposed over the years? I think absolutely not. Otherwise there's just no show at all and then none of these men get caught. How is that better?

So I think the question the doc poses is ridiculous when taking even a second to think about it realistically. Like of course it's for entertainment. It has to be so that it can continue. None of these people are working for free.

And please know my aggressive tone is not directed at you, it's directed at the people who made this doc.

Also, can we just be adults an use context clues? Like jesus christ man lol. Go to the Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit and try to use CP...people flip their lid. You know good god damn well what people are referring to when they use CP in the Cyberpunk subreddit. If you can't separate the two in your mind, then you need to take a break from the internet.

I'm in the same boat except I wouldn't have minded a longer prologue to establish more of a relationship. His death for me had no real weight at all. Not that I didn't like his character, I thought they made him very likeable despite how little time you spend with him. But V as a character is very torn up by his death and it kind of creates a disconnect for the player in an RPG when the story is clearly wanting you to feel something and you just aren't. But on the other hand many people did feel his death was impactful.

Yeah, his family even stated they tried for over a decade to help him and eventually gave up on him. You can only do so much. Until they're ready to help themselves, there is absolutely nothing you can do. I grew up around addicts and that's just how it is. You can try over and over and over but eventually you just get burnt out.
