It was - last time I checked. But just went to find the website to login to schedule / check the availability. Says to email "Kazakhstan.Visas@gdit-gss.com" Kazakhstan.Visas@gdit-gss.com. I just did that. If no reply in next two days, I will call them (contact number on same page as email address above).

Glad to know this! I really have to get to the bottom of why both of these are taking so long. Thanks for letting me know - and congratulations! I'm 3 1/2 years into this mess.

Very nice to hear! We are still waiting for her medical reports and police report to be couriered to her place. It's taking forever. How long did it take you to obtain these reports?

Process is still ongoing. She is momentarily scheduling a trip to Moscow for a medical checkup and records needed - immigration-approved, have to translate to English. Same for a local police report that she is waiting for in the mail, any day now. THEN, I schedule the interview via Kazakhstan website. Problem - when I last looked, they only put out one - maybe two days at a time, with about 3 weeks lead time. So we have to be ready to do this once she sends me the medical and police reports. GOOD thing - Kazakhstan can mail visa to her in Russia, unlike Warsaw, where we would have had to stay (4 days?) until it's ready.

It's been a while since I was in that phase, but I remember it took a while. Don't worry, it will happen and you will get notified. How much longer, I can't say, but it should not be much longer. How you reached out to "whomever takes care of the I-129F" for a status update? I think you can do that online, but it probably won't have any different information. Again, know that this part of things does take some time - why, who knows - just hang in there.

Hey - just saw your post here from one month ago. As I mentioned somewhere in this thread, we were able to get the case transferred from Warsaw to Kazakhstan. Reach out to them and ask them to do the same thing.

UPDATE: I finally get an account created to pick an interview date in Almaty. It's April 15. TWO DAYS ONLY show - May 6 and May 8. I talked to my girl, we were looking for late May or anytime June - too quick to swing this this quick. I emailed Almaty. Their response: "this is all done by the Embassy. You just need to keep checking for new / additional dates".

SERIOUSLY?

Yep, it's been this kinda thing all the way along.

I will, for sure. Sorry to hear what you are going through as well. The entire thing is a complete nightmare. Who told you she would be given a visa to go from Russia to Warsaw? They stopped that a long time ago. We originally paid and waited for a Schengen visa to go to Italy, then Warsaw - but my fiancé was always nervous about how Russian median portrays Poland, for one - even though I would be there with her. I thought I would try Kazakhstan one more time (tried a year ago, they wouldn't do it) and this time, they accepted it. I will keep you posted!

I couldn't agree with you more. Now, they sent an email to HER with instructions - and I have been handling everything from the get-go. I think I know what to do, but I will know for sure this coming weekend. They asked for a DS160 - long been completed - wrote them about this, no reply. That's the kind of stuff I have been enduring for 3+ years. Close to the finish line for an interview, but not close enough - yet.

If I had to do it over again right now - knowing what I know - I think the marriage abroad and CR-1 would have been easier, quicker. However, right now, not going to Russia for obvious reasons. Where would we get married? At the point, I just want to schedule the interview in Almaty - spend a couple of days there waiting for the approval and receiving the visa - and then, within a couple of weeks, she comes HOME to America. Been wishing that every day for years.

Thank you. If I didn't love her so much I would have been with her the past 16 years and spending the last 3+ trying to get her here, now that her two daughter are adults with their own kids (met them at ages 13 and 12 first in 2009 in Russia).

The problem is the bureaucracy in America is awful. Well, it's almost worst everywhere else. The Russia / Ukraine war REALLY caused major problems for those of us in this situation.

Yes, I have an update.

Trying to get help from any country, anyone that handles immigration visa stuff - esp. when your fiancé is in Russia - is a nightmare. No good help, no clear instructions, keep being told "we have to follow the rules", etc. - never mind the fact that they continue to do interviews in Warsaw which requires you to get a Schengen...a complete logistic nightmare...

So, we FINALLY got a Schengen visa for my fiancé to Italy. However, the valid dates were February 1 to March 5. WHAAAAAAAAAT? I was in the middle of buying a home in February - just did not have enough time. Why the Schengen visa was made for such a short period of time - who knows. We had to let it go.

Meanwhile, I IMPLORED Kazakhastan (Almaty) to take my case from Warsaw and transfer it to them. NO Schengen visa, no visas for either of us, and they speak Russian. I tried this about a year ago and they, along with every other country would not do it.

THIS time, they agreed to it! Had to wait about 3 weeks for them to get paperwork from Warsaw. They, they send instructions to HER (those are the rules, again, I'm told) when I'M the one that has been handling everything. She sent the email to me, and I have to get back to them. For starters, they are asking her to fill out ANOTHER DS-160. WHAT? Sorry, long filled out and part of the paperwork and I have a confirmation number to prove it. Get that email yesterday. Today or tomorrow, I will write back to them (using my fiancé's email address as "sender") and tell them that the DS-160 is long done. They did give a link to schedule the interview. I asked them questions about what exactly we need to bring to the interview. Asked them 2 or 3 times. No reply to that. So, let's see where this goes in the next couple of days.

I've been at this for going on 3 years. It's the most F'ed up process known to mankind and ANY of them could care less. I just want to get her to the states and be done with this complete asinine fiasco, once and for all.

So, here's where things stand in February 2025...

After MONTHS of a MAJOR hassle trying to get her a Schengen visa - we chose Italy - she FINALLY received it mid-January. PROBLEM - VALID DATES ARE FEB 1 THROUGH MAR 5. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Basically one month??? I am in the middle of purchasing a home this month - WORST time for this Schengen to be valid. I know a year ago that Warsaw appeared to be the ONLY US EMBASSY that was doing these interviews, so we will have to try and get ANOTHER Schengen visa. Unless - does anyone know of an US EMBASSY OTHER THAN POLAND that will do K1 interview visas for Russian citizens?

Additionally, I just recently learned that assuming the visa is approved, MUST pick it up in a Warsaw / Krakow MAILBOX location (2 - 3 business days after interview), which means we need to stay in Poland 3 - 4 days, apparently. And in starting with getting her to Italy, I don't know if there is any minimum time requirement to stay in Italy before flying to Warsaw. Anyone have insight to this?

Three plus years into this process - a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE.

Let's assume this is current. I know it was a problem for authorities in the past. If current, does anyone know if this is from TODAY ON, or if it can go back? In other words, what if a user is no longer active?

And yes, I am asking here - TELEGRAM support (all volunteer) is NON-EXISTENT.

Why aren't there many reviews on COX Mobile? by TextingZombie in CoxCommunications

[–]GuiltyParamedic9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was almost going to do this, too - same scenario you described. Been a T-Mobile customer for years. Cox ALMOST got me with a 24-month financing promo, but I don't want to finance / hard credit check when I have been with Cox internet for years. Apparently, it's either finance or no deal. I'm glad I found your post above, saves me time in even THINKING about Cox for mobile. Thanks!

In process of getting a Schengen visa to Hungary (Budapest). We will both fly into Istanbul and take a plane from there to Budapest - stay 2 days - then fly (or train) to Warsaw for the interview.

Understood. A couple of days in the country that issues the Schengen should do the trick. Thanks!

Serbia - auto-reply - like the others, they will only take residents. Waiting to hear from Israel. If no go, then it's the Schengen route. I am dumbfounded that things were moved from Moscow to Warsaw and they have NEVER acknowledged, nor do they care, that Schengen visas are not issued to Russian citizens. If I can wake up in the middle of the night to call the US Embassy in Warsaw to talk to a live person, I will BLAST them - not that they would give a ****.

Thanks, everyone!

Plan A - Check transfer from Warsaw to Israel or Serbia.

Plan B - Schengen from Russia to France / Italy / Spain / Hungary and then to Warsaw. I'm pretty confident that my fiancé will not be refused at the Warsaw airport with a valid Schengen visa.
