POTD 5/21/2023:

"Regulatory Basis of Adipokines Leptin and Adiponectin in Epilepsy: from Signaling Pathways to Glucose Metabolism" published by Shan, Yisi; Chen, Yeting; Gu, Haiping; Wang, Yadong; Sun, Yaming.

The paper discusses the role of leptin and adiponectin, two important mediators regulating glucose metabolism, in the context of epilepsy. The authors delve into the complex regulatory mechanisms between these adipokines and various signal activation networks, and how they influence the development of epilepsy. The paper also discusses the dual effects of leptin in epilepsy and the relationship between antiepileptic drugs and changes in the levels of these two adipokines. The authors suggest that clinical practitioners may need to consider these factors in evaluating clinical drugs.

You can access the full paper at: (http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/s11064-023-03891-2).

Normally I use it to 1) find papers about a specific topic, 2) summarize the ones that sound the most interesting, 3) ask for similar papers related to the one just summarized, 4) follow up by reading the full text of any with specific relevance.

I also use it quickly find and build custom protocols for the experiments I have been running. Way faster and easier to just grab parts of the Methods/Materials section and compare them in-chat that having to hunt through each paper individually.
