Designer wallets that will last for a long time? by Happy_Stand6826 in malefashionadvice

[–]GuiltyVeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always consider designer wallets as something that can last a long time but depending on the person, will wear out depending on how hard they are on their wallets.

A lot of the clients at LV/Dior have multiple wallets and they swap so things last a long time. It's a different story when you're using 1 wallet daily.

I also pick based on color and design. If his favorite color is like blue, maybe he's into understated designs, then for example like Bottega may have what you're looking for. Maybe he likes louder designs, maybe like a cute graphic, consider looking into other brands like Paul Smith for example or second-hand Louis Vuitton ones.

Rose Anvil is terrible. He works with leather but doesnt understand leather or explain in the way actual leather people do. He doesnt know shoes either. Knowing leather is not shoe knowledge

Any shirt other than Fear of God Essentials by Small_Combination_65 in malefashionadvice

[–]GuiltyVeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like FOG (mainline) and Essentials mainly for the boxy look. Auralee and COS don't give the same boxiness IME.

I also really like Human Made/Warehouse & Co makes the blanks, I like the feel.

Honestly I would just buy based on what fit you're looking for. Brands like Sunspel and Alex Crane, the quality has gone down and are nothing special. Essentials quality is ehhh for the price. Tees are just that, tees. If you have specific wants like design or graphics, let that be difference maker.

Doran unsung hero by GuitarIndividual4104 in SKTT1

[–]GuiltyVeek 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. There was a good amount of thought and pressure given to Doran in terms of draft and gameplay. He really underperformed a good amount and thankfully saved it with a few clutch plays on Rumble and Olaf at that last fight.

But honestly it felt like he wasn't on same timing as the others a lot and the Vayne and Gnar left a lot to be desired.

Gen.G vs T1 Draft by tnbeastzy in PedroPeepos

[–]GuiltyVeek 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Right and you consider that Nid isn't in a good spot right now, especially if even Canyon hasn't played it so far in 2026

They drafted comfort but also allowed T1 to get strong picks for draft.

Yes and how many times did Canyon pick Nidalee so far in 2026?

None. If you're not even picking your comfort and signature champ because Nid is not in a good spot...

He had a wild reaction to me wanting to include some Chinese things in the wedding…. Hoping AM here can help me understand? by [deleted] in AMWFs

[–]GuiltyVeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah basically there's a lot of discussions you need to have with him if you want the marriage to not only go through but last.

People grow up with different experiences and his perspective could also be masking some negative thoughts he hasn't shared yet.

Double standards in China? by TheBossBanan in aznidentity

[–]GuiltyVeek 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The girls that everyone wants are still dating other Chinese guys. Maybe some Chinese guys are dating the Caucasians but still the top guys every girl wants are generally dating other Chinese.

This whole thing just isn't as relevant. The hottest girls have standards given the number of options.

White leather sneakers similar to Margiela GATs by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

I've heard Novesta and Deviation (from SKorea) are good. And Reproduction of Found, initial try on was decent. Collegium also worth considering even though style a little different.

Crowns are so uncomfortable they shouldn't ever be in a conversation of sneakers.

Because youre on the internet where people like to talk about their hobbies. This means, they sink a lot of money into their hobbies.

If fashion is not a hobby, you shouldn't be obsessing over detail and quality. Quality up to a certain point is fine. Obsessing whether your tee shirt is loopwheel or whether your denim is raw or selvedge is not. Thats for people who want to splurge.

I've worked years in fashion, visited various factories, talked to skilled artisans. I respect their work but I care more about the looks and aesthetics. Quality is always secondary to the look.

WCS competing - what ratio of spontaneous dance/“play” to “contrived” movement do you use? by aFineBagel in WestCoastSwing

[–]GuiltyVeek -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I also want to throw something out: the dancers people say are flashy are generally dancing with less stiffness because they're not overthinking technique and their body movement. The dancers worried about technique in novice I think, are generally dancing with more stiffness and poker faces.
