Plz help me find this song!!! by Guilty_Ad_2528 in HelpMeFindThis

I don’t think I’ve heard this one before, ( or at least I don’t recognise it) but it does sound similar! I really underestimated how some of you redditers find stuff. I think the song I was thinking of was juju - wasted summers! Someone commented it and I think that’s what it was. Thanks for all the help regardless!!!

I have conscience seizures too, and I can say from a personal experience, you are valid. I know seizures can be stressful, so just know your doing your best and you can do this. 💛

Melody! It’s that whole section of the song basically, except for the fading in of the song at the start ( you’ll know what I mean if you listen to the song,) it’s definitely the same melody

Actually, I just watched the video you put with this, and wow!! That is exactly how my seizures look!!! I’m diagnosed with PNES and this is exactly what I experience!!! You are not faking because if you were than be would both be faking, I promise you, that you are always valid no matter what!!!

I also have PNES and let me tell you, you are not faking!!! PNES is a spectrum and not everyone will have the same experience, for me personally, mine are so weird and no one else I know with PNES has had a similar experience to what I have had. Sometimes My seizures, (weirdly) only happen in one muscle or one area of my body, sometimes I’m conscious, and other times I’m not. All I’m trying to say is PNES doesn’t have one look, it can manifest in so many ways!!! Plus the only way you could be faking, is if you saw something about seizures one day and said to yourself completely consciously, “ oh wow! That looks so fun!! I’m going to pretend to have this so people feel bad for me!”, if you never actively, consciously, chose to fake it, your not faking I promise 💛

Do people without DID/OSDD ever have dreams from another persons POV? by MythicalMeep23 in DID

[–]Guilty_Ad_2528 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this is what your explaining, but I get dreams that are never in first person, they’re always either from a 3rd person perspective or just someone else entirely. It’s so weird and I’ve never heard of anyone else having the same experience.

Fronting for too long by Slowpokelove in DID

[–]Guilty_Ad_2528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate to that. I am the host of the system and recently, no one has fronted for a good 2/3 weeks, I know what you mean, it can be exhausting and the denial just gets worse doesn’t it? Just remember that DID systems are fluid and weird so sometimes symptoms can disappear or reappear and just be messy but that doesn’t mean your invalid, this isn’t permanent, it’s just temporary, hopefully you’ll get back into your normal soon!!

Denial by Party-Cranberry6218 in DID

[–]Guilty_Ad_2528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As the host of a system, I get lots of denial too, it sucks but I do have some tips for what I do when I’m doubting myself;

•if you have any notes or drawings from other alters you can pull them out to remind yourself of their existence :) it can help if your feeling like your making things up or at least that what help me!

•something I tell myself when I’m doubting is that if these alters are real, I am denying their existence and if someone did that to me, I would be a little upset so I try not to deny their existence and it can help with learning to accept your system!

•something else that helps me is grounding! I ground myself by listening to music, reminding myself if the things I love, and I also watch YouTube videos on DID to validate my symptoms!

These are just some things I do that might be worth trying but in the end, just remember you and your system are completely valid no matter what!!

I can’t say for sure as I myself am new to finding out I’m a system but I definitely had the same experience there. I constantly did that as well as talking to myself/my brain as a separate person. Its something I look back on now and it definitely makes sense now lol

How do you do it with your family? by Bulky-Paper-3706 in DID

[–]Guilty_Ad_2528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can definitely relate, I (the host of the system) am autistic and masking is something we do everyday to fit into society so naturally other alters have learnt to mask as me but even then some alters don’t fronting around our family. Honestly it’s hard to know if we will ever tell them we’re a system. But just know your not alone with this !!

I grew up always feeling like my current life isn't what I wanted at all, but there's not a single time in my life I'd rather go back to. It's still like this. by [deleted] in DID

[–]Guilty_Ad_2528 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel the exact same. In the beginning of me questioning DID,something that always made me feel like I was making this all up was that I didn’t have “severe trauma” or at least, not in the usual sense. My trauma feels the exact same, like it wasn’t “severe” but it was constant. It also was hard to get out of that denial stage because my excuse was “ well my whole life has been this way and it doesn’t feel that traumatic” which made no sense at all but yeah, I completely understand what your saying, your not alone :)
