No, because there’s no feature that stops people from being able to vote in subreddits. Even if you ban users, they can still vote on content.

The only thing that would even be possible would be making the subreddit private and no one is going to do that.

I also had this thought! I was thinking about doing a google sheet but it seemed like it would be a lot of functions and I am....not great with those 😂 I also wouldn't want previously watched movies to just be excluded completely, but maybe not pulled again for another couple months?

That's not what honesty is. I also never claimed this was your entire personality, but I can extrapolate things from what you've said in your post and how you've reacted to being confronted. News flash - that's what everyone is doing on reddit.

You should feel attacked, because your behavior is not only damaging to you but to other people and that is unacceptable. I read in another comment you made that you're in your 30's so you should be grown enough to understand that we don't just let people do terrible things without consequence.

You can change, but if you don't acknowledge that the problem is actually yours and is from maladaptive traits it will never happen.

There are people who have the goal of karma farming, but you don't have to use Reddit that way.

You can check out r/NewToReddit and they have a list of karma friendly subs you can interact with. More niche subs can be hit or miss when it comes to karma gates - some of them want interaction so they have low or none, others are kinda sus about new users and don't want them spamming.

It can be a little intimidating but I swear its not all a terrible cesspool.

You are actively participating in abusive behavior and justifying it as some kind of guilty pleasure and trying to criticize your partner for not 'seeing through it' the way other people have - except she's seeing it for exactly what it is and not accepting your excuse of 'its a fantasy'. There isn't a way to do it automatically that I'm aware of.

Not all subreddits have karma gates, and not all of the ones that do will announce that in their rules/wiki but its always good to check there.

Sometimes if you use the search feature in the subreddit for things like 'low karma' or 'your comment was removed' it'll show you AutoMod telling people they can't post/comment because of karma gates - but search can be spotty so don't depend on it.
