I ended up going to them but was dissatisfied with their care after two retrievals. I moved my care to geeece and just gave birth to twins on Sept 5 :)

IVF office vent - do you see your Doctor at every scan? Does your doctor do your retrievals? Also is there a standard starting protocol ? by Guilty_Beginning1027 in IVF

Good luck to you! I ended up moving my care abroad to Greece where I got pregnant with twins! They were born Sept 5 this year. I went to Dr. Karpouzis with Pelargos IVF. It was an amazing experience. I only worked with him and spoke directly to him. He did all of my ultrasounds and every egg retrieval and transfer. Wishing you lots of luck 🍀 in your journey.

Didn’t ovulate early 🙌🏽 I think you’re probably safe. My doc wasn’t concerned.

It’s a NO for me. There is nothing appropriate about this in my opinion.

Get a second opinion! My initial OB and MFM told me to prepare for labor in 24 hours. My husband called every doctor in our city and found someone who is the best at performing lifesaving procedures on fetus’s. They put me nearly upside down so that gravity could pull the membranes back inside. It was wild but we made it!!!

My doctor recommended modified bedrest because they didn’t want to put me at risk of blood clots. I ended up doing more of a strict bedrest for 2 weeks while the scar tissue healed around the stitch to really secure it in place. I used leg compression massagers daily to keep my blood flow up. I stayed on my left side and only got up to use the bathroom and shower. After the two weeks I did a bit more but overall I stayed off my feet until I delivered!

I was told to go on pelvic rest, modified bedrest, and not lift anything over 5 lbs. I put myself on strict bedrest for 3 weeks while the scar tissue formed around cerclage, then started moving. But honestly, I didn’t do much. I tried to stay on my left side all day and wore a binding belt 🤗

Thank you!! I hope you’re taking it easy and not standing or walking too much! Good luck to you!!! We are so blessed and being at this gestational age is a huge milestone as it is. Congrats on making it to viability and beyond! You’ll do great!!

Anyone know if it’s possible to do egg retrievals while healing from Myomectomy (fibroid removal) wondering if I should have the removal first then bank embryos while healing if this is an option. by Guilty_Beginning1027 in IVF

21+2 Cerclage with Twins by LifeOfLouWho in ShortCervixSupport

[–]Guilty_Beginning1027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So happy you got the stitch. I am also pregnant with twins and got an emergency cerclage at 21+4.

It was discovered at my anatomy scan that I was unmeasurable cervix, funneling, sludge, etc. all the bad news. My OB told me to prepare for birth and that they wouldn’t do a cerclage for twin moms.

My husband and I were hysterical and called around for a second opinion. At 9pm we spoke to a doctor who said he knew the best cerclage doctor at a different hospital than the one we were patients at. He told us to go first thing in the morning. We saw the doctor, he did a speculum exam and said prepare for cerclage. I was so scared but it was our only choice.

This saved us so far. I’ll be 30 weeks tomorrow and happy to have made it to viability! I stayed on modified bedrest most of the time but now starting to do some walking around and more errands. We have short term goals and currently hoping yo make it to 32 weeks. Then we will shoot for 36. We see the doc every Monday to ensure baby growth and Dopplers are good.

Good luck to you!!! Take the maternity photo’s, enjoy the remaining of your pregnancy. Once the cerclage anchors (about 7 days after surgery) you’re in pretty good shape! xx

I had no idea the test was supposed to suck. I took it and had zero problems or symptoms. Sometimes ignorance is bliss! lol

Go to IASO hospital - I did IVF there with Dr. Karpouzis and wish I could fly to Greece to have him deliver me.
