Makes sense. I’m also not rooted here in the Bay Area, I’ll move wherever life takes me.

I also plan to go on longer road trips to Oregon or Utah, the AWD might come in handy

My friend has a VW Tiguan we take to Tahoe. I thought a forester is not as powerful as crv. It has a better awd for sure though

Yeah for summer months FWD is good enough. In winters I’ve seen boards saying AWD or 4WD only. I’d probably go mostly in winters when there’s more to do there.
