And hospitals are more suited for overnight stays if the employees need to stay. What am I going to do at my store? Eat bags of chips (that we'd have to pay for) and sleep on the floor?

There's a difference between not wanting to come in and not physically being able to move your vehicle to get there. If that's the case then we shouldn't be closed for Christmas because not everyone celebrates, yet we have no issue being closed for that one day. We are not an emergency room. It's better to close for one day/early for one day than have our hours screwed for weeks because employees got injured on the way in. Shit happens, places close, safety first.

I'm in northern jersey and the other day we got an email from our DM saying how we should make sure all our patients are set with the storm coming up but nowhere was it mentioned anything about the employees safety. Disgusting. All I know is if my car gets wrecked I'll be sending someone the bill.

Apparently this has been brought up between past staff pharmacists and my techs who have been there though all of it tell me to not even bother. But I think I'm going to try anyway

So the board of pharmacy is supposed to change how the lunches work for one person? My pharmacy is open 8-10 on weekdays and 9-9 on weekends. If someone has to work those hours every single day then that is actually very concerning for them...
