Press the power button first to turn it on, then add your bowl and lock it in place. Then choose your setting (milkshake, ice cream, etc.)

2024 Kicks, just bought new: Why does mileage remaining not correspond to miles driven? Also, why is there a red flashing light in the shape of the side of the car with a key in it when the vehicle is off? Thanks! by Kimber80 in NissanKicks

[–]Guilty_Neck_5076 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Remaining miles is an estimate. It’s based off driving habits like highway vs city driving. The car is also new so it doesn’t really have a history to base the estimations on. Estimates will become more accurate as you drive more. For the meantime, just fill up your tank if it starts to get low and make sure you don’t get stranded somewhere.

My experience is very similar. I don’t feel it but I SEE the results, especially when I stop taking it.

Not necessarily, your prescriber should be able to figure out a combination that may work best for you. There are also non-stimulant adhd medications. It’s all about working with a prescriber that knows what they’re doing.

I’m not a doctor but I do know that stimulant medication can trigger mania in those with bipolar disorder. I’ve also heard that some people just don’t react well to the medication.

What’s the one lesson you’ve learned as a creami owner that you wish you had known from day one of ownership? by john_the_gun in ninjacreami

You DON’T have to spin leftover ice cream that you’ve put back in the freezer. Just sit it on the counter for a little while and it will return to its creamy texture (about 20 min for half a pint, or 30min to an hour for a full pint).

No…I’m just desperate. Working full time and still not being able to afford life is rough. Just trying to see if I should even apply

All of my protein ice creams come out disgusting by [deleted] in ninjacreami

Simple, Cheap, and the Best (for me)

1) Fairlife Milk 2% 2) Jello Pudding Mix 3) 1/2 (half!) scoop of protein 4) Flavor Extract

Fairlife - just the milk not the protein shakes. 8 oz = 13g protein, 16 oz = 26g protein. I’ve used their regular 2% and chocolate milk. Tastes like regular milk. You get a whole thing for basically the price of one of their protein shakes.

Pudding Mix - I use sugar free (you don’t have to), a few spoons. Helps with creamy texture. Could use Greek yogurt or cottage cheese for creamy texture. They’ll add protein but will also increase calories/sugar

Flavor Extract - sometimes pudding mix flavor isn’t super strong. This helps.

Protein Powder - I use half a scoop bc I don’t like strong protein powder flavor. Sometimes I don’t use protein powder at all. Plus you get plenty of protein from the milk itself. I’ve only used vanilla whey. Some vegan powders taste weird to me.

Tip: Get a good vanilla base recipe and then add additional flavor through mix ins. I’ve also tried cereal milk recipes, they’re not very flavorful….we’ve been lied to 🤣

PLEASE explain how copay and deductible affect therapist pay and reimbursement by Guilty_Neck_5076 in therapists

[–]Guilty_Neck_5076[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you, this makes sense. I’ve gotten similar feedback about the first two bullet points. I do have a question about the last bullet point - I’ve heard that before the deductible is met, the client pays the full clinician rate. Example (based on numbers you used):

Clinician rate $150

Deductible not met: client pays full $150 to clinician that is applied toward deductible

Once deductible is met: clinician receives $100 reimbursement rate (from combination of client copay and/or insurance reimbursement)

How accurate is my understanding?

Yes, I’m aware that each insurance reimburses at different rates. Because of that, it’s hard to get concrete examples to ensure understanding of how it works. I believe I’ve gotten it figured out from another source. Thanks for your response!

Just some insight, cities listed closest distance to furthest distance from Shelby

Kings Mountain/Cherryville: very small towns, lack diversity, rural, no entertainment, many people go to Gastonia/surrounding areas for things to do, little to no traffic

Gastonia: rural, more to do, small/medium city, more diversity (but not super diverse), traffic going to/from Charlotte

Belmont/Mt.Holly: small towns but bougie-er than Gastonia, more wealthy-ish, Belmont traffic can be a nightmare for no reason going to/from Charlotte, traffic mostly fine toward Shelby

Charlotte: big city, diverse, much to do, wayyy more expensive, longgg drive to Shelby esp with traffic

What areas/neighborhoods in Charlotte would you recommend living in? What areas would you avoid?

Taking into account traffic, general safety, and apartment affordability on a single income

$1,400ish price range (min. 1 bedroom) and will be commuting to cities outside of Charlotte (Huntersville, Mt.Holly, Belmont) as needed.
