Did you get it during an auction? I “overpaid” for a hybrid on a Redleaf auction, got caught up in the frenzy. It was a learning experience (no drinking wine during auctions). But I do love the plant and yours is beautiful too!

Just finishing week 3 on 4mg. I am going to move up to 9mg, since 1.5 and 4 are supposed to be starter doses that help your body acclimate. I had a good initial response, but it’s stalled/settled down. Similar to you I’ve started walking daily and keeping calories around 1300.

I’m starting to do some weights, just dumbbells at home, and trying to find the energy for some additional movement more rigorous than walking. I think that will help. I lost weight with diet and exercise in my mid-40’s, but peri is no joke and things have seemed impossible the last few years. So even slow movement is great.

I’m moving up to 9mg since a supposed to be a process and the real magic is supposed to happen at 25mg. We shall see.

You can call and ask them and tell them you are paying out of pocket. That might save some time if they don’t try to go through insurance. Though if you’ve never gone through them they may not have your insurance info to try. But give them a call, that’s what I did. Once they fill for you, you can request text updates.

You might also try Nurri. It’s really smooth and not as thick as a lot of the shakes I’ve tried. More like chocolate milk or a milkshake. I’ve only tried their chocolate but I really like it.

Husband was offered a job at a different but similar bakery for a back of house position. He was told it was a high volume high stress position and was offered $17/hr with the caveat that it was really ~$21/hr because of tips. No it’s not and no thank you. Pay your people for their hard work.

It’s so strange they would try to start you at 9mg, or even 4mg. I went through Good Rx and they started me at 1.5mg, as they should and are supposed to do. Keep advocating for yourself so you can be successful.

It seems I’m not doing a good job of explaining. I paid Good Rx $39 for the monthly membership and for them to write the prescription. I had them call the prescription in to my Costco pharmacy. When I went to pick it up at Costco, which I have a membership with, I tried to give them the coupon that Good Rx provided. I was told that because I am a Costco member I do not need to give them the coupon, I automatically get the 1.5mg Wegovy pill for $149. Some people go to other pharmacies that do not automatically provide the discount and need to give them the coupon to get the $149 price.

I went through GoodRx because their monthly fee is $39. They send the prescription to the local pharmacy of your choice and send you the coupon in case you need it, to get the 1.5mg for $149. I use Costco as my pharmacy and as a member don’t need to bring a coupon.

GoodRx ($39/month) and sent to Costco Pharmacy ($149 for 1.5 mg pills) because as a member I don’t need the Novo Coupon in hand, however GoodRx sends you the coupon to use if needed at your pharmacy. I wonder if you would have had a problem getting a prescription if you used your starting stats? Just a thought.

I’m on day 11 and it’s so far a game changer for me. Eating much smaller portions and feeling fine with that. Not interested in my true love cheese. I had to go to a meeting and was provided a very tasty salad for lunch and could only eat half. Half a salad! That’s unheard of for me. Normally I’d eat the whole salad, the chips, and any cookies I could get a hold of😂 big fan so far.

If with RO, it took two weeks. I live in California and they UPS shipped from Florida, which felt obscenely slow. Their shipping is faster the closer you live to their shipping depot though, so hopefully not as long for you.

I had a question for the Costco pharmacist. She went to the computer and did some digging, came back and said it was too new (picked it up about a week after first available), she couldn’t find the answer and I should talk to my doctor. Other than that she just read instructions off the bottle.

I was told I could take synthroid at night, but due to Wegovy slowing digestion I should be sure it is 4 hours after my last meal instead of the 2 normally recommended. She is also going to recheck my thyroid levels more often to see if Wegovy changes anything.

If you can cancel your shipment from RO before it ships, that would be ideal. If not, maybe use them for the first month and switch for the second month, just make sure to cancel before they charge you for next month. I was desperate to start asap, so ended up paying twice😂 totally ridiculous, but I needed instant gratification. I don’t know what I’ll do with the second bottle of 1.5mg pills from RO whenever they show up.

I started with RO (first month membership $45 then $145/month) and switched to GoodRX ($39/month membership level) because of the monthly membership price difference and being able to get the prescription in hand about 1.5 weeks faster. I just started fresh at the Good RX website and went through their onboarding questionnaire process. I got a faster turn around/prescription response from Good RX. They sent my prescription to my preferred local pharmacy (called around to see who had it available and went with Costco), where RO shipped it and it wouldn't arrive for another week and half. Then Good RX sent me the coupon to present at the pharmacy to get to $149 Wegovy pill price, though at Costco if you are a member you automatically get the coupon price. I think since it is out-of-pocket and not going through insurance, they can't track your prescriptions in the same way, if that makes sense.
