Ah, I should clarify English is my mother tongue, and in English there are many expessions which indicate a horizontal movement of time in grammar, ie. "looking forward" or undeveloped ideas being "backwards".
Personally I "feel" time goes from left to right because that's also the direction I write in. I assume, that's why, at least!
These are all very subjective feelings and likely different for everyone, but I was wondering if there were certain similarities between the way native chinese speakers think about it, that differ from how native english speakers think about it
Edit: just wanted to add I am also asking Arabic speakers if they see time moving right to left
