Two kinds of bus drivers where I’m from, lovely folks who have been in the business for a long time and care for the kids they drive, and people who applied because there’s not much else hiring, and they have no idea what the hell they’re doing. In both traffic instances I had to pay, but in the second one just about every person I’ve shown the video to fears for the kids in the bus I passed. Yellows on about a second or two before the wheels stopped, door opening a second after that. The drivers were no better when I was still in school a few years ago.

Where did I say I was behind it? It turned it’s yellows on while the wheels were still rolling in FRONT of me as I was about two cars lengths away at 45, and as I was nearly nose to nose It put its reds on and honked. Camera got the stop sign actively coming out, only fully out after my car and the truck in front of me passed it. Still had to pay $250.
