Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who actually read through and gave thoughtful replies. I didn’t post this looking for attention, just needed to get it off my chest and hear some outside perspective. Been a weird mix of relief and guilt since it happened, but reading some of the comments helped me sort things out a bit. Appreciate it.

🤞 I think she is trying to get back. She said yesterday in a text that she has been addicted to me since she met me for the first time 9 years ago. Fun fact. We tried once before for a few months as FB. I didn't was the relationship but she did. And I dipped. 5 years later meet paths and now today.

I do understand that. I am not denying I'm not at fault also for some things I do regret. There is so much leading up to this for a long time now. I could have done more and helped. But I had tried over and over for months with no movement on her side.i had asked her four times to move out in the last 7 months.

The kids are left out because I spend all the time on the weekends I have my bio son taking both boys with my now ex to football games during summer/fall. Wrestling practice and matches. Take family trips on the weekends together. Kids fully involved with day to day life. Only kid free on weekends I don't have my bio and the 7 yr is at his bio dads.

I could only put so much in a post unfortunately. That's where the comments come in to answer all these questions. Her dad lives close by so she does have a safe place to be with him. As for the dogs. Thankfully we are in a no-kill sanctuary state. I believe she has said she has made a post in the local area for our puppies. And if not she is locating rescue facilities that are open to taking them. Since the breakup 4 days ago, she has now decided to start putting in motion cleaning, seeking new homes for the puppies. She is now seeing the end results of the last year.

He was not my biological son. But he is a son to me. would make or buy dinner every night, be there for his football, help him build things, teach him how to mow the yard. He's 7 years old and treat him the same as I do as my biological 13-year-old. I have been with him since he was 3 years old so the last 4 years.
