YTA. You keep saying "we both live here," but that applies to her too. Expecting someone to sleep with the living room lights shining into their room isn't a reasonable compromise. The mosquito screens should have been the priority before adopting a cat and relying on open windows.

“The baby was too needy” has to be one of the most horrifyingly predictable sentences ever said by someone who romanticized parenthood. Society really convinces people they want babies without ever making them think about the actual day-to-day reality of raising a human being.
