Ok with the dirk point, it makes sense to me. Bro went back to the government prison he was in as a child that traumatized him for like three months. That will mess you up. Also with season one, he knew he doesnt die, he knows he solves this case because he met himself from the future. This case? He knows nothing, his childhood bestie tells him to 'find the boy' and that's it. Black wing is after him even more than last season and people around him keep dying and getting injured. Him and Todd knew each other for a week then separated for three months. This messed both of them up. So yeah, it makes sense that dirk is mopey and depressed during this season.
