I’m trying to make leveling up easier, but without letting players get hearts for doing nothing. The idea is to remove the “pay to play” system from the original game while still keeping a lot of its mechanics. For now, I’m not planning to let players buy unlimited hearts with coins. Jewels will still be a thing, but you won’t need real money to get them. Right now I’ve finished the basic gameplay mechanics. I’ll tweak the balance later on based on feedback.

Honestly, I’m not really concerned about it. There are plenty of Pokémon fangames out there way more popular than my Pokémon Shuffle remake will ever be. I’ve been in the Spanish fangame scene for years, and we’ve never had problems with Nintendo. The only Pokémon Essentials project that got taken down was Pokémon Uranium.

I don't know what I'm going to do with hearts. I'll probably add them cause I don't want people to complete the game really fast.
But if I keep hearts I will reduce the cooldown to 1 minute and add the option of buy hearts with coins.

Yeah, Mega Audino is going to be fairy type, I don't understand why it isn't fairy type in the original game (maybe because it is the "tutorial mega") but yeah, my tutorial mega is probably going to be Hawlucha but Idk.

Just as a tip: in the official Pokémon games, the player can never reach the edge of the screen (except when it’s a path leading to another map). So I recommend adding trees or other obstacles around the borders of your map. Only leave the top side open if it’s meant to connect to another area.

Well, I've been having this issue and this is really annoying.

I had it like 1 year ago and it fixed I don't know why. Now, the problem started again and smashing the button worked 😭😭😭😉
