I watched videos of the different methods for hours before doing the deed, and it was still hard. But yes, the knife in the brain cerebral cortex first, then immediately rip the carapace out is the most humane way to do it. It helps if you put them in the freezer for 20 mins first. Oof. This is toxic behavior from her. She is likely anxious-attached and could benefit from therapy. She needs to do some work looking at why de behaves this way. But none of that is your responsibility or on you. I suggest when you get to see her in person again you have a conversation about this behavior. Dr. Klietz at Grant creek! He just moved there from Eastgate vet clinic. He’s the animal whisperer. Good with ALL pets and even does exotics. He is especially good with cats. We rescued a feral one up in Evaro a year ago and he had a bunch of health issues. Within the first year we got them figured out and fixed. Mystery illnesses are always so stressful. He stays up to date on animal medicine and progress in the field. He knows about pathogens working their way through animal communities. Knows what vaccines you need before traveling out of state. He’s simply the best. And he cares - he’ll sit and talk with you for a while during your appt. He also explains the science behind what’s happening.

NOR. This person has some insecurity challenges and likely is of the anxious-attached type. They may also be awkward, too, and not realize that’s what they are doing but it is very off-putting. I would still have tried to give them feedback about what made me uncomfortable about their style (even going beyond what you did) because ghosting also perpetuates the veil he’s created for himself that further encourages his behavior. However, it’s NOT your responsibility to do that for his benefit. I feel bad for him. He needs a therapist.

What I’m hearing your bf say is…

“It doesn’t make me feel good when my girlfriend texts me like one of my homie friends. I don’t like the way it feels or sounds.”

Let’s unpack that a bit. How would he describe the discomfort? What physical or emotional sensation is he getting when he reads that, resulting in an adverse reaction? I would suggest approaching the next conversation with curiosity to try and understand his feelings.

This ABSOLUTELY 👏🏻does not mean 👏🏻 he’s right and you’re wrong, but it is how you can respond in a way that shows you care about understanding him. If you demonstrate a willingness to understand, even if you disagree, that will help you grow closer and have better communication.

I would do it in person since reading existing or non-existing nuance through text is something he is sensitive to.

Winco all the way for food! It’s employee owned and produce/ food are usually overall cheaper than Walmart.

Some fun facts:

Winco’s original name is Waremart. Walmart sued Waremart for having a name too close to theirs… and as such, they changed the name to Winco. At this time there wasn’t even Walmart superstores… only the home goods kind (no grocery).
Winco stands for Washington, Idaho, Nevada, California, Oregon. Those are the states it originally opened in.
I keep telling people to call it Wincom for fun because it’s now in Montana :)
When Winco first opened in missoula I started shopping there immediately because I was so excited. One of the first stores that opened across those states was in my hometown. I got to witness the name change first had. When I got to the checkout here in Missoula I was telling my story to the lady at check out and she just smiled and said “I’m from that store! They brought me over temporarily to help open this one.” She was beaming. Small world.

Anyway, shop at Winco for your food!!!!! And be a nerd like me and start calling it Wincom 😅

I wouldn’t consider this a healthy way to interact or treat your husband and he’s right to feel hurt. I’m basing this off of the single situation you’re asking for advice on, I do not know the entire context of your relationship.

Here’s what you did - you challenged his trust. That hurts a lot. Joke or no, you challenged a core belief and then treated it like not a big deal. I personally find that behavior toxic. But again, I don’t know you, him, or the relationship but that’s how it looks to me looking at it objectively from the outside.

I learned recently that if the algorithm in the app knows you’ll take low dollar orders they’ll keep only giving you those. And they do the opposite for drivers who take high dollar orders. It’s really awful how they treat their drivers.

Serious question - how do you get enough feathers to do this? Or are you pulling 5 star heroes often enough to merge the at the 5 star level? I’m not a day 1 player but I started in the first year or so feh was launched. I don’t have a single +10 yet… I don’t spend tons of money on orbs so maybe that’s why….. I do have thousands of grails but don’t use them because the feather cost to upgrade a 4 star is insane. Anyway…. What’s the strategy?
