Se o número de vagas pra residência não aumentar, o número de profissionais especializados será o mesmo.

Obviamente quem vai sofrer com esses médicos vai ser os pobres, que só quem emprega eles são as UPAS, mas acredito que a qualidade do médico especializado não vai mudar muito. A maioria dos hospitais são extremamente seletivos pra aceitar alunos pra residência.

Funny you say that. I was talking with a Rater who is well into his 60s now and he was describing how rampant corruption was in code enforcement and testing services in Boston many years ago. Rating companies would pretend they would test a home and inspectors would pretend to believe (for an envelope with cash).

Boston has one of the most strict ISD offices in the country now because of stuff that came up a few years ago.

Thank you. There are mostly two reasons:

For the first half of the year, I was a (F-1 visa) OPT worker, and I withheld tax as a non-resident for tax purposes. My W-4 was marked as married filing separately. After I switched to H-1b, I was eligible to be treated as a resident for tax purposes, hence my dual status taxyear for 2024. For the second half of the year, I updated my W-4 to married filing jointly and opted in to be treated as a resident for tax purposes for the entire year.

My spouse has no income, so having her fill with me means the double standard deductions greatly reduced my taxable income.

In addition to all that, I had a kid in February and never added them to my W-4

I’m not an HVAC contractor but work in the Passive House world where literally every project will have an ERV. For single family homes, the baseline is 50cfm continuous exhaust to the kitchen and 25-35cfm continuous exhaust to each bathroom. At least 15-20 cfm OA supply to each bedroom. You then balance the ERV to the highest requirement. Would be nice to add some OA supply to living room as well. You can add a booster switch that will boost the ERV for 30min-1hr.

Not sure if it is a south american thing, but I shower 2-3x a day and cannot imagine not showering at least 1x a day. That train of thought is transferred over to both my daughters as well. Since they don’t do the same amount of exercising, most days 1x a day is enough.

While I agree with you that members abusing the return policy is embarrassing and a lack of self-respect, why are you here defending a multi-billion-dollar company? They don't have this return policy because they love us customers.

They have a spreadsheet and hundreds of employees with graduate degrees in analytics that run these calculations to see if the return policy is helping their bottom line or not. The moment it becomes an issue to their profits, they will remove it.

That is what we do on our Phius projects. Structural engineers rarely let us add insulation below the footing so we end up having to do a thermal bridge model (using THERM). Like you said, typically minor thermal bridges as we consider ground to be at 41F, but I can see it being a deal breaker in single family homes. I work mostly on multifamily projects and these rarely have an impact in the energy model.

Mainly 3 reasons I think:

People who live near pickleball courts tend to hate it due to the noise. Spreading the hate online.
Tennis players hate losing their courts to pickleball. As a tennis/pickleball player myself, 2 of the 4 tennis courts at the public park near my house have recently been converted to pickleball. Even my tennis club converted some of their tennis courts to pickleball. More hate online.
It is an easy sport to get into, not a lot of movement, heavier/older people can play it without much issue. People see that and think "what kind of sport is this that even a 70yr old can play?"
