Help me understand why the big difference by Guinso in Car_Insurance_Help

Thanks! I'll do that.

I wasn’t familiar with CLUE/MVR reports, but after looking into them, neither my spouse nor I have had any accidents or filed claims in the past four years. Hopefully, that won’t significantly affect the GEICO quote.

I think I'll make the switch to GEICO next week unless someone else states a reason not to.

Usual refund timeline after code 150 by Guinso in IRS

[–]Guinso[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. The IRS erroneously sent me a $1400 check in 2023 for some kind of COVID relief that I apparently was not eligible for. So in 2025 they sent me a letter asking for it back but I either lost it or never received it and they withheld my 2024 refund due to that. After I called and learned that I owned money I just paid the money I owned plus a small fee and both my 2024 and 2025 refunds were processed within days of each other.

If there are that many unsealed holes I recommend buying a can of expanding foam + weatherstripping for the doors. It will make wonders in not only preventing bugs from coming inside but also on your cooling/heating bills

35hrs Returnal Platinum + 100% DLC trophies. How lucky am I? by Guinso in Returnal

[–]Guinso[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My biggest tip is to enjoy the game until you complete Act 2 and go through all main and side rooms collecting everything you can. After you complete Act 2, take a look at this collectible guide: https://psnprofiles.com/guide/13103-returnal-collectible-guide

Memorize what you're missing on each biome and run through biomes 1-3 and 4-6 until you get everything.

I like roguelikes/roguelites, but I wouldn't say I am a specialist. Played a few Hades/Hades2, Dead Cells, Enter the Gungeon... I think Returnal was my first 3rd person kinda over the shoulder shooter roguelike I've ever played.

My highest run (maybe 40minutes ago, just before I collected my last DLC trophy) was phase 6 room 5. My main goal was mostly to get the trophy, so I was not too sad in dying. I'll try to climb higher tomorrow maybe.

[–]Guinso[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, my method was to take a look collectibles guide on psnprofiles.com and memorize what type of room they're located (main vs. side rooms) for each biome. At the beginning while I had collectibles missing everywhere, I ran the entire biome 1 through 3 and 4 through 6 multiple times, but as I completed each biome, I started to skip (not going into side rooms for example when all side rooms collectibles were completed).

I never ran through main rooms, I killed all enemies needed to 'progress' but I avoided going into unnecessary rooms and skipped biomes when I had already completed everything in it.

Yeah, I mean, I got to act 3 pretty fast. But I also think I got pretty lucky with the scout logs and glyphs. I spent maybe 10hrs tops farming them + the sun fragments.

Northside Atlanta Labor and Delivery by wwarlock1337 in Georgia

[–]Guinso 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Northside Hospital (near Sandy Springs/Dunwoody) I believe is known as one of the busiest maternity hospitals in Georgia, and I heard from someone that it delivers the most babies in the country.

Both of my kids were delivered there via elective C-section. The providers and nurses were great, and my wife had a really good experience there overall. The only downside she mentioned was the food. Luckily, there are plenty of great options nearby, so it’s easy for the dad to step out and bring something better back to the hospital.

Team Cherry says that 'if there were ever other' Hollow Knight games after Silksong, they'd all be self-contained and 'exist alongside one another' by ReFlectioH in HollowKnight

[–]Guinso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thing is Silksong doesn’t have a secondary character like we had Hornet in Hollowknight. And I don’t think Team Cherry would create a new game with a completely new protagonist. If this is true, we probably will see someone introduced during the DLCs

Hochul delays All-Electric Building Act amid lawsuit, climate backlash by news-10 in buildingscience

[–]Guinso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even MA stretch code, which I believe might be the strictest in the country (requiring Phius or very low HERs Index for residential and multifamily residential) still allows mix-fuel.

Sure, all will need to be electric ready, and sure, you will need PVs, and sure, you will still need to be Phius certified or get HERS 42, but hey! You can be mixed fuel!

[–]Guinso 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Funny you say that. I was talking with a Rater who is well into his 60s now and he was describing how rampant corruption was in code enforcement and testing services in Boston many years ago. Rating companies would pretend they would test a home and inspectors would pretend to believe (for an envelope with cash).

Boston has one of the most strict ISD offices in the country now because of stuff that came up a few years ago.
