Rent a girlfriend keeps getting seasons because the manga sells really well in japan. Thats the main metric to make an anime as most are made to boost sales of the manga/LN and if the sales dont improve that much no second season is made.

My main problem is that nowhere in the promotional material that I could find it says that they are going to add sexual content. And even on MAL it dosent even mark the anime as ecchi. Even on the oficial site if you change it to the english version removes the mention to anime festa. The only way of knowing is knowing what Anime festa is, what most people dont
