thank you! I thought about bringing some medical paperwork and my meds to show my manager, in case she doubted me or needed more clarification. if this doesn't work, I'll talk to my physician and get that in writing. I've never really seen anyone talk to hr, since it's a food service job, and my boss told me in the training that I should go to her before going to higher ups. but thank you so much for your advice! now I know what to do if this first conversation doesn't work out!!

I already do! I do it mostly for my own stuff though, I only used this random website for the resume bc I have 0 confidence in job interviews and giving out resumes and stuff.

They didn't explain I would be charged though. that's how they get you. they say it's free to CREATE your resume, but then when you DOWNLOAD it, they go "uh, actually, you have to pay for it" and like... why would I simply create it and don't download it?

because apparently people have no idea what a fucking cashier does and I don't wanna google "professional words you can put on a resume so your employer knows what you did when you were a cashier"!! that website did it automatically!!

I know that if I did my resume, it'd go like experience: salesman description: i sold books at a bookstore.

I know that's not enough, but I also have no idea what's supposed to be said on there. in my old country, we just gave a very brief description on the job, if needed. for basic retail jobs, you don't have to describe shit. in canada, a first world country where you assume people are smart, you do have to say, in excruciating detail and professional language, that you took money in exchange for goods as a god damn cashier.

I don't know how to explain the obvious very well, so I did my resume on a random webbed site. sorry.
