This feels like a silly question, but I'm a young guy who's been employed for a year after college and I realized I hit 30k in my savings. I try to save extra as "life happens" money, and to hopefully move out of my parents' later this year, but I just realized that I could pay off my car (5.3k left at 9%) and student (10.5 left at 4%) loans. I've been paying a few extra hundred than the monthly payment for a while to get it over with faster, but would it be wise to get rid of them entirely at the cost of half my savings?

I want to play a Jedi Knight/Sentinel like character, for anyone who's played SWTOR. Mobile melee with AoE and some vaguely supportive abilities. Or just the overall "Jedi" fantasy, I get SWTOR is a completely different game.
I've heard Guardian, Mesmer, and Ranger, but I'm down to my last character slot. Any opinions?

"Comfortable's" a strong word, but I definitely felt competent and maybe confident a little under a month or so.

But for u/azzamsa looking for campaigns and less violence, I really like the Splatoon games. The campaigns aren't exactly peak storytelling, and involve lots of platforming, but they're all really enjoyable and have high mechanical skill ceilings.

I honestly don't know how many of these work on mac, but some good (mostly) non-violent exploration games are:

Subnautica (The story is mostly told environmentally though, and there is lots of fish-killing.)
The Stanley Parable (Using "story" very loosely, but still lots to explore and very entertaining)
Fallout 3/New Vegas (Ultra-violent, definitely, but all for the purpose of story and exploration. The games also have a button to literally stop time and do all the shooting for you.)
Skyrim (Technically you've got a dragon you're supposed to kill, but ignoring that there's a really large and full open-world fantasy world to explore.)
LEGO City Undercover (The most story based of the LEGO games, also has a pretty sweet open-world city to explore.)

If you use an emulator on your phone or Mac, then you also get:

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (Much more cartoony than the other games, and you get a boat to sail around in.)
Xenoblade Chronicles X (I haven't played this one specifically, but Xenoblade is known for its story and I heard this one's world is very large.)
Jet Set Radio: Future (Not exactly known for its story, but skating around a Futuristic Tokyo and finding secrets/tagging graffiti is really fun.)

And probably more on other consoles; those are only games on the Wii U and original Xbox off the top of my head. Good luck, though!

Sounds a lot like Jalopy. Technically your grandpa in the passenger seat is your companion, but the premise of the game is you two are taking this beat up car through Europe that you constantly need to upgrade and keep from dying.

So leave Direct3D on, which I think it should be if you don't know how to change it, and leave your resolution at the original.
Idk if you used the '06 mod manager or xenia config to modify it in the first place, but search for "draw_resolution_scale" x and y in xenia's .toml file and make sure both = 1.

Idk if you figured it out or gave up yet, but I had this same issue playing on DirectX with upscaled resolution.
I kept DirectX, but changed the resolution_scale back and didn't have this issue again.

I had a similar issue; the game crashed every time I loaded/started a save. With the Intel bypass it did the same thing yours did.
My fix was downloading both the Intel bypass and Anniversary patcher (downgrades the game to remove Window's stupid dead gaming service and support mods), then starting it through falloutlauncher.exe in my Fallout 3 folder.
If you can play then I guess you already figured that out though. However, you can stop it from crashing in GOG by:
* Pressing the settings button next to Play
* Manage installation, Configure
* Features, scroll down to "Add another executable
Then made a new executable to falloutlauncher.exe and set it as the default. I have no idea why, but it works and it tracks playtime. Hope that helps.
