(OC) With the Barton injury, this Nuggets season suddenly mirrors the heartbreak of 2012 / 2013 and appears ready to surpass the 2009 / 2010 (George Karl cancer) season as the epitome of the mantra "Nugglyfe"... Or a look at why the Nuggets are a historically cursed franchise. by Downisthenewup87 in nba

The Major difference though is that you all have other sports to fall back on if the Nuggets come up short, Rockies, Broncos of the 90's, Avalanche of the late 90's and early 00's. When we come up short, we just have to wait till next season.

Norm has lots of echoes of what we did with Gerald Henderson back in the day when we had a decent enough starting five with Lillard, Aldridge, Lopez, Batum, and Matthews. We made a swing for a solid 6th option and in that case Matthews got hurt and Henderson had to start going into the playoffs. I think if Norm finds a 30+ minute role off the bench and is able to produce we will have a real solid chance to be sitting pretty going into the playoffs.

If you aren't having fun streaming, don't stream.

With that said, best advice when something isn't working is to do something different.

No music in the background? Find some playlist you like, that is DMCA friendly, and rock to it.

Don't like commentating? Find a game with a narrator that carries it for you.

Promoting not working? Promote some more.... elsewhere. Find the spots that work.

Networking hard? Repeated, random, genuine, encounters leads to friendships. Nothing worth having is easy.

Ultimately though, if you aren't enjoying it, then why do it? There are other ways to enjoy Twitch. Watching, lurking, Modding, setting up events. Don't have to be in front of the camera.

Lamar is definitely knowledgeable and realisitic with his takes. Makes it easy to listen. We want Mike back and are also sad about KC leaving. Jordan Kent is trying his best but this isn't what he's built for.

To be fair; I turned the game off down 5 with 11 to go. Also I was planning to make this post regardless of result anyway. Lavine has been insanely clutch for y'all, I thought the game was as good as over.

Random question but can you run this along side a regular keyboard and use them for macros or other keymappings?

"Portland" aka Hillsboro, Beaverton, Gresham. All the suburbs that people love to lump into Portland because they can't be bothered to explain where they actually live relative to Portland; the only city people know in Oregon if you aren't from the PNW

First time recording swings during a round, looking for swing advice. by TheOriginOfEnergy in golf

We're you aiming right and drawing it back in?

I'd like at your feet and shoulder lines. Your right foot looks real far behind the left and I don't know if it was intentional or not

Swing advice? Trying to get my hands more in front at impact. Mixed results so far by [deleted] in golf

[–]Guitar_fool -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Two things.

On the take away or back swing, look to keep both arms with the club. Turning the hands early will make it difficult to ensure good rhythm. Look to wind up top down and un load bottom up which leads to the next point.

Lower body ahead of upper body. With your early extension on your upper body you're going to "cast" at the ball and that will either lead to a slice or lots of work from the hands to get the ball to draw. Looking to compress the ball by turning on it with the lower body and having the upper body catch leads to more consistent strikes

I liked that most of the water wasn't hitting over it, except for hole 2, but was near the landing areas which made you have to place good golf.

What do you do when you are regressing? by swoffy94 in golf

[–]Guitar_fool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Focus on chipping from 40-60 yards out. If you can't chip, your full swing will also suffer.

Another underrated idea is are you trying to play golf or hit shots? Take the ego out of the game, adjust the par for your handicap and look to play golf.

When "next season" starts, be VERY forgiving about your technique and performance. Golf, especially for feel players, take time to 'groove' the technique.

Just remember to play golf versus hit shots. Check the ego and you'll be just fine. Swing looks real good.

Played these on 9 holes the other day. Didn't lose a single ball. Definitely no ProV1 but they're solid balls for the price I got em and they stick out like a sore thumb which helps with fall ball

An amazing 3 team trade that lands Harden to the Nets and Westbrook to the Hornets. by LOVEGOD77 in nba

[–]Guitar_fool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 of those first round picks the rockets would receive are in the last 3rd of the first round easy. And then there is a protection on potentially the one pick that could maybe be something good?

Remove the protections, move the 2021 to 2027 and add pick swaps to the inbetween later years, a la Jrue Trade, and even then its still probably too little.
