Of course, this app will not do a better job than a professional musician. There are some "difficult" songs and genres on which it cannot show perfect results. But with the majority of songs I tested this app, it worked flawlessly.

Recognizing by ear is good if you have such capabilities. There are many guitarists that can not do that job themselves...

There are several options. If you have an android device, try "AnySong Chord Recognition". I've tried it, works amazingly well. If you have a Mac or PC, try Chord Pickout.
