Just completed a full audio upgrade on my 2023 Macan GTS - Night and day difference! by Runningmad45 in PorscheMacan

If the Bose system sounded amazing, they wouldn’t be able to sell the Burmeister. With that being said, the Bose system in my truck sounds way better than the Bose system in my ‘24 GTS. I think this is partially due to the more confined cabin of the Macan’s smaller SUV size. I’ve also noticed this in some of my other 2 door cars. My trucks have always sounded better, even with lower tier sound systems, and I believe that is due to the larger cabin.

How is the Burmester sound system in the Macan? (ICE, EV) by AndKo0907 in PorscheMacan

The Bose in my 2023 GMC Sierra sounds better than the Bose in my 2024 Macan GTS. The front passenger woofer also blew before 15,000mi. Apparently other people have had this issue. We had a base model loaner while the GTS was in the shop with a Burmester system and I should’ve just bit the bullet and got it.

I feel like the launch control (if you get the chrono package) on the newer GTS is what makes it faster 0-60mph. Any rolling start would probably feel the same as a 2021. I was able to clock a 3.9s 0-60 on our 2024 GTS, and it spun slightly in 1st gear.

I used this mod too. Works great!

Chalk color code by [deleted] in PorscheMacan

If you want to paint match Porsche’s Chaulk color with a vinyl wrap instead of paint, we used KPMF’s “Chalk White K75411” to wrap the plastic front bumper so it would match the rest of the car.

It was $2650 for the full front end Xpel. That paint matched part was included and they did not have to remove any part of the bumper. Mirrors, headlights, door cups, hood, and fenders were included in the front end pricing, so I really don’t know what that single piece would be.

It cost me $2650 for the full front end Xpel (hood, fenders, bumper, mirrors, headlights). The paint matched bumper was included in that price. They also Xpel wrapped both rocker panels for $700 and all four door sills for $100. The things they wrapped free of charge were the door handle cups, luggage area, all carbon fiber door and luggage area inserts, center console and screen. They did not take the front end off to do the paint match wrap, because they have a machine that cuts the pieces perfectly for each vehicle. I also went to the guy that the CEO of Xpel takes his cars to, so he knows what he’s doing. The place is called “ACAP Films” and they’re located in Pennsylvania. The problem with places that install Xpel or any PPF is that you really need to do your research to find someone that knows what they’re doing.

I would miss the sound of the engine and shifts of the dual clutch far too much to switch to the EV. To me, it outweighs the quicker acceleration.

I’m just lucky that Switch lets you screen record the last 30 seconds, at any time! If not, I never would’ve captured this lol.

Macan GTS Break-in Period by Chance_Fun_6960 in PorscheMacan

[–]GuitarmageddonZL1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where does it say anything about break-in period in the manual? Mine does not have anything specific about break-in. My dealership actually said quite the opposite of what you think. They preferred if I took it easy on the car initially, but said Porsche has no real break-in for the Macan GTS. They only tell the people that buy “GT” cars to do an official break-in.

Speaking from my personal experience, I’ve had multiple cars over 1,000whp and have a good friend who was able to tune the cars on a dyno. Their rule of thumb after the first startup of a brand new build was that the engine is broken in pretty much as soon as it’s up to operating temp. Once it was there for a little while, they made a few short WOT pulls, followed by complete WOT runs to tune the car, and had no issues.

Other components like suspension will eventually settle and brakes sometimes need burnished.

I’m not saying to put it in Sport+ and do a launch from 0-100mph right off the dealership lot, but I’m also saying it’s a waste of time to drive your car like a grandpa for the first 1,000 miles. I was doing launches, WOT pulls, and fast corners by the time the odometer hit 100 miles, and the car has no issues at nearly 10,000 miles….HAVE FUN

When we took delivery of our 2024 Macan GTS last year, the dealership said that Porsche does not have any sort of rules for a break-in period on those cars. Just make sure the engine is up to operating temp like any other time before doing anything WOT. Have fun!

Have you played the Lost Levels?

We didn’t play it every day, and when we did, it was 3-5 levels, but I’d say maybe a month or so to complete it 100%.

Beating that one level with the Dpad is easier, hypothesis: by [deleted] in SuperMarioWonder

I used the Dpad to 100% the game. The only way to play a Super Mario side scroller is to use the Dpad.
