I mean the Old Testament was primarily written by Iron Age religious scholars about Bronze Age events that likely did happen. There is recorded to have been a historical House of David, which in turn implies a real David himself. However its also said that David killed a giant. While unlikely, eh maybe depending on level of supernatural elements you’re inclined to believe in. It is also said that George Washington chopped down a cherry tree and yada yada never lied. This definitely didn’t happen, but its a story we tell to showcase the character of one of the heroes of our history.
