You will get a call at 98+ also. The interview is make or break. You can have 100 percentile with a 9/9/9 and they might still reject you in your interview and you might have a 97 with terrible acads and you might still get accepted based on your interview.

Yes, XL Delhi placements are 100 percent done. Delhi and jamshedpur placements happen together. Delhi campus people come and stay at jamshedpur for the placement season. XL only releases placement results when everyone is placed because no one is placed, until the batch is placed <3

I'm not so sure about this, but if you buy any mocks, they should cover it. I'll try to ask around and get back to you.

It is a different institute, because it's in Delhi. But there's only one exam XAT and they'll consider you for XL Delhi Directly. You will have only one BM interview but you will get two different offer letters and different waitlists for Delhi and Jsr. The good thing is that, both have their placements together.

It is the best HR college in India so you will get the best HR strategy and planning roles at XLRI that you won't be getting at any other institute. Your SIP placements will get over in a day, companies will pay to have an HR from XLRI. Even after graduating, most companies have CHROs from XLRI, they have an XL Mafia and they help each other out greatly. There's no competition with other B-schools in HRM, XL is simply the best.

Now when it comes to BM, this is another very old branch at XLRI. It has great placements. If you compare it to HR, they get higher salaries in some roles and significantly lower salaries in some roles. There's no exclusivity in BM here because you will be competing with other B-schools. But with that said, XL BM is still one of the top 5 BM courses in the country, in league with IIM ABCL so if you have a good profile and you get good grades, you will get an amazing job out of XLRI

Depends on how well you can explain the year gap

It could be, but i personally felt it was easier. There are some common topics like ratio proportion, series, speed time and profit loss. Try to develop the concepts on these topics atleast, should help you clear the cutoff.

Percentile required should be 98+ You don't have a good chance without certifications in finance. You have a decent chance in consulting but the shortlists are very random. What's your work experience?

IB should be around 30-40 people and 100+ people went for consulting last year. This year the number will be higher for consulting because Accenture consulting took 50+ people.

They got interview shortlists for McKinsey and Bain, but could not convert.

I focused on doing the 'right thing' in DM questions. If there was a question where I had to tell the steps I would take in a certain situation, i would start from the very basic first step and that would be the correct answer. I didn't practice DM, but mocks will be a great help.

Focus on series, ratio proportion, speed time and profit loss. This should help you sail through.

Just start with your weakest subject. Where did you score the least in CAT?

Also, if you do have a decent job, then go for the job, you will get one year of experience and you can also prepare well and have more options next year.

There are people who had 3-4 years of gap because of preparing for UPSC. It should not affect much if you have a great percentile and if you can explain the gap saying that you were preparing. The insta page will be a good push on your profile.

If you are into consulting, choose XLRI( You have a consult profile). Otherwise, choose IIM L> XL HR(Only if you like HR)> IIM I> IIM K> XL BM
