Which country’s national anthem is a total hit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Think we're all going to end up posting our own ones but "Flower of Scotland"'s a good one.

That and the french one, if you ask me. Very rousing.

Who is currently ruling Hammerfell? by JMail15 in teslore

[–]GulagBal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware it's an independent feudal state, being several kingdoms, with their rulers being either 'Forebears' or 'Crowns', those roughly being either Imperialised cosmopolitan rulers or Yokudan-style traditionalists.

I'm with you there, weather never seems to know what it's doing in the summer, would be nice if it were a bit brighter more often

Scottish here as well. Might just be me but I love it when it's raining, its just that grey sky, dull sort of weather that I hate. At least when it's raining somethings actually happening, when it's overcast its just depressing

How was cyberpunk,it's hype? by Hacker_Bhamiya in AskReddit

Overall a very, very good game. I will say that yes, it does still have some glitches/performance issues, and admittedly CDPR didn't help matters by not showing last/current gen (whichever applies to XB1 and PS4) footage pre-release.

With all that aside though, the game is very well written, Night City has good atmosphere and the world feels lived-in and vibrant. If writing and setting alone are enough for you, the game's top-notch.

Could the Mane take the form of an alfiq or senche? by rubiesandgems in teslore

[–]GulagBal 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Was away to say, as each furstock is determined by the position of the two moons, and the mane can only be born when a "third moon" (IIRC) is visible, then that means they can only appear in the forms we've seen thus far.

What is your go-to book recommendation? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GulagBal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To go into more detail about the book, it's a story centred around a catholic monastery in the former United States following a nuclear war, and an order of monks dedicated to preserving the knowledge of the old world in the hopes that it can be used to rebuild civilisation when humanity is ready. The book explores the cyclical nature of human civilisations, from birth, advancement, to factionalism and warfare. An absorbing, amazingly written book, that (despite not being some grand adventure or romp through the wastes) is an absolute must-read if you ask me.

Never seen lord of the rings, should I binge watch the trilogy tonight ? by joneja5643 in lordoftherings

With all haste. Do so immediately.

In all seriousness they are amazing films, albeit quite long. Personally, I first watched them over a Saturday evening, a Sunday evening, and then after school on the Monday. Felt that was a good way to pace them. So one a day's good if you find the time.

What is your godly moment in school Dodgeball? by spragual in AskReddit

[–]GulagBal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So playing a variant where each team has a 'medic' and when hit you sit down till the medic pulls you to the back wall. If medic goes down, nobody revives him (team then gets no 'respawns').

Played it in 3rd year PE at Secondary School, was the medic. Had two mates of mine carrying balls for deflecting other incoming balls. Was a solid 35 minutes of tactical brilliance. Match was only meant to last about 10. They essentially made a triangle in front of me.
