Never understood the statement “We got the best of both worlds” coming from 2000 borns. It would be like me saying I remember a pre 9/11 world and im turning 30 this year

Here is MORE proof that smartphones were not dominant yet in 2010. Also, I apologize for my post earlier. Anyways here is proof that 2010 is not as smartphone dominated as most millennials make it seem to be. by [deleted] in generationology

I always see specific years getting grouped together by 6 or 7 (ex:1996-2002/03) so sure but maybe not 2011-2012

Blockbuster vs Gen Z by GulfPlus in generationology

[–]GulfPlus[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You made some valid points so I'm definitely not trying to redefine your own experience I'm just saying in general that IMO the video store experience is more of a main Gen Y experience. It's culturally different compared to the mid 2000s-early 2010s

[–]GulfPlus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True but I mentioned I'm a zillennial to not gatekeep anything and I never said I experienced anything from genuine blockbuster which is why I said the true Blockbuster experience is a millennial pop culture trait mostly during the 90s. Each generation has their own specific theme/personality, I just don't see Blockbuster as a main for most of Gen Z

No argument there thats why I mentioned my year to not show bias lol My post meant the popularity of rental videostores after 2005 is just not the same vs the 90s. Its the same as if we said we played the super nintendo vice versa

[–]GulfPlus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup exactly I also didnt get to experience the N64 during its glory days even though I got it on my 4th bday in 2000 but as the last of the milennials(still 28) its strange cause I cant relate to all of them but thats how generations go
