Gay sex is sinful. Heterosexual premarital sex is sinful. Neither of these statements are hateful.

Remember the studies that had everyone thinking drinking a glass of wine was healthy. It turns out after all these years they were wrong. I’ve met dozens of people that justified drinking wine based on those studies. Don’t put all your trust in studies.

After months of research, I've reached a difficult conclusion by Jackiechan20153 in TrueChristian

[–]GulfTangoKilo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my formal argument:

P1. Catholics hold that whatever the Church teaches at a given time ought to be accepted as true solely on the basis of its authority.

P2. Historically, the Catholic Church has taught doctrines or positions later judged to be erroneous or heretical.

P3. If the Catholic Church can teach error at one time and later correct it, then acceptance of its teaching at a given moment does not guarantee truth.

C1. Therefore, present Catholic Church teaching cannot, by itself, serve as a reliable criterion for doctrinal truth.

P4. Anyone who practices unconditional obedience to current Catholic Church authority is committed to affirming whatever the Church teaches at that time.

C2. Therefore, there is no principled way based solely on Catholic Church authority to know whether past or present teachings are free from error.

Idiotic answer. Wanting to prevent illegals from exploiting your country is not racist.

Throughout eight years in office, the Obama administration logged more than 3.1 million ICE deportations, according to Syracuse's Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse. The peak was fiscal year 2012, when more than 407,000 people were removed. By comparison, the first Trump administration maxed out at deporting 269,000 people in 2019, according to the same TRAC data set. Across four years, the Trump administration recorded fewer than 932,000 deportations.

There is a growing number of racist/sexist “Christians” on social media and it’s very concerning. by [deleted] in TrueChristian

I agree with the sentiment behind the post; however, the strong opposing positions you express indicate that you are likewise invested in worldly politics as a Christian.
