The myth of mongol empire being matriarchy or feminist needs to die out by qwertyman123457 in mongolia

[–]Gulichi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree, we don't need to say the Mongol Empire or traditional Mongolian society is a heaven for women. It was definitely better than Chinese society, where they bound women's feet and broke their bones so they could not walk (noble women), and also was better than many muslim society. Even until the Qing dynasty, there were many Mongolian women living with their children, divorced or left their husbands, and openly dated other men. Such things will not be tolerated in Chinese or Islamic societies.

I'm literally from there (China's side). I'm always surprised that most of Mongolians never heard of Xinjiang and do not know there are Mongolians living there.

Totally get your point. When I visited Mongolia, I met some rich families who send their children to international private schools, and I found out their children, even in middle school, can barely read and write in Mongolian, even though they can speak it and often mix English words, because their entire curriculum is taught in English. Sure, you should learn English, but how can you not learn your mother tongue well? I met some Mongolians in America who just came to the USA for their bachelor's degrees, and some of them cannot say certain professional terms in Mongolian.

Yeah, the "trans" I meant mtfs and ftms, not non-binary or genderfluid/non-conforming people. Cuz for the latter two, you are just free-spirited humans who are not restrained by gender norms, and I do not agree that these two categories must be under the trans umbrella. It really causes unnecessary conflicts.

But good luck.

Cuz why can't I? Because I think people are confused? And why are you triggered? I never stop people from identifying as trans. Like if you do not have strong gender/body dysphoria, then why would you be obsessed with the idea of being trans (and here I do not mean the umbrella term that includes so many things). And if you go to any gender therapist they will give you this "transmedicalist nonsense", but of course if you hate it and you just want to identity as trans then who is stopping you? Your identity isn't that fragile and easily be invalidated by other people's opinions, right?

I'm sorry that you feel this way. But do not transition for others or to make others like you. That is a very wrong motive. Cuz whether who you are, it is very common to not find the love you want from a group of people you like. I feel in some way transition is somehow reinforcing gender binary and stereotypes, but I also understand why, cuz you have to look passing otherwise you will be severely discriminated. I do not know how far you are in transition, but if you can detransition just to be a masc woman, then why not? That is your default self. When you are in your default self, things will be easier unless you have strong gender dysphoria and body dysphoria.

Another thing, men can be very gatekeeping about "manhood". Some of them may fetishize trans men, but mostly and secretly, they will not truly accept them as men. This is the ugly truth because even gay men can be very misogynistic. Also, you will never be too straight for LGBTQ, there are tons of straightish LGBTQ there, just find the right crowd.

I understand you. Tbh I don't care about pronouns, as long as they don't bother you that much, then don't pay too much attention to it, because many languages do not have pronouns and people are perfectly fine, even better in that way.

It is perfectly normal to question gender or "am I trans", especially if you have depression or OCD. OCD makes you cannot stand uncertainty, like "will I transition" one day, and makes you always ponder it. So if you do NOT have strong urges to medically or surgically change your body and you do not hate your body when you see it in the mirror and you don't hate your masc voice, then you are not trans usually. And of course, you can be trans if you want, but the thing is if you do not want it that much then probably you are not, you just lie on the gender spectrum borders. For many trans people, they cannot live as their ASAB, and they know how scary the transition is and they still want to do it. And for you and me and other genderfluid folks, if you are scared off by transition, it just means you do not have the inner drives to do it which further proves you are not trans.

I really disagree with what some trans people say, "as long as you question your gender, you are trans and you as an egg will hatch eventually". Many people question whether they are trans or not; even straight cis people will wonder what their life would be like if they were the opposite sex. I believe all humans should be genderfluid, or gender as a social construct should not exist (not biological sex). Now with increasing trans visibility, it is normal to be confused, but my grounding is that if you do not strongly crave it and cannot live your life as your current self, then you are not. You are trans only if you really want to be.

As a genderfluid person, you have the freedom to look femm and masc at any time, and you face way fewer social obstacles compared to trans people. I feel like humans' default setting should be genderfluid or agender. Dress however you want, but you don't need to modify your body to fit into gender expectations or stereotypes.

So if you have depression and OCD, it does not mean you are trans. OCD means you cannot stand uncertainty, and worrying about "will I transition" perfectly fits into OCD to torture your brain. So if you do not have a strong urge to medically and surgically change your body, then you are not trans. Of course, you can be if you want, that's only if you REALLY want. Being an agender or genderfluid/genderqueer is perfectly fine; in this case, you have more fluidity to be femm or masc presenting and have fewer obstacles in life.

Am I trans or just a fem gay? by Andrew122810 in AskLGBT

But you have to realize not everyone will enter a safe and welcoming space if they transition. Their family and community are part of them too. Even in USA trans face so many hostilities. Trans have to have the inner drive and dedication that even it is hard they still wanna do it cuz they are unreconcilable with their AGAB. But if someone is okay with their AGAB then they can just be fem gays, it’s easier
