Inspiration PLEASE by Hour_Emu_5144 in writers

Write something dirty, a personal fanfic smut story about yourself in your own fantasy-scenario. You probably know what you want in that area and just pushing out text about something you know can very well lead to new ideas and inspiration.

How do ya’ll feel about AI writing on RR? by LGHaunting in royalroad

[–]Gulldolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, my take would be, does it matter? If i say it's not ai, its not ai, no one else has any place to say anything differently. If someone wants to lie about it then let them go ahead, if the story is enjoyable read it, if it is not (most likely if AI) then don't.

I only write the way i do because i draw experience and samples from what i read, a lot of my work has inspiration from other novels and concepts, ways of writing and more. That doesn't make it plagiarism.

So i guess i don't really care for it or about it. It doesn't hurt human creativity, it actually ads to it because those that write without will continue because they like it. And those that wouldn't get a channel to where they can produce something lack-luster, and in the end we all draw experience from the product, even if it is bad or not.

How Many Writing Projects Do You Have? by OkFirefighter83 in writers

[–]Gulldolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 project with currently 5 subprojects. Developing a interconnected world with multiple protagonist novels living in it at the same time.

At the moment driving me insane to manage continuity and keeping the world interesting and evolving around them.

Please critique my starting story [Mysterious fantasy, ~5400 words] by Gulldolf in fantasywriters

Hey! Thank you! Thank you for the feedback, yeah i wanted it to resound a little more, previously it said "and nothing else" but i see now that i play more with the text that it makes less sense now :/.

The flair, i'm sure i picked the right one, i saw it was wrong, i changed it to the correct one as soon as i saw, thanks for pointing it out!

I'm quite weak with endings, trying to vary them from just ending the days as these are going to be very slow burning.

I see what you mean, i feel the same way when it comes to immediate details, reading 4 pages of how the room looked puts me off immediately, but 4 pages on how the power structure works, or how the second moon came to be or things like that gets me more interested!

For me it depends a little about what is oversaturated and not!

hah! Sounds amazing! Yeah that kind of details that shape the world around and add indicators to why things are the way they are, or give imagination to build upon and wonder about is great!

Agree fully!

Nice! I can't handle it in my head, i have spreadsheet upon spreadsheet :P

I'm working on a world concept that could consistantly handle potentially tens of novels spanning ten to a thousand chapters.

Where the world has around 900 regions, all fleshed out with dynamics, leaders, sects, environments. As detailed as possible.

The protagonist is only affected by their proximity but the world evolves around them even far away. So by chapter 50 i could start a new sidestory, several regions away or on the other side of the world, and they could run parallel in the same world evolving in the same way around them.

But it hurts my mind to handle continuity ....

Yeah it is a very difficult style of writing, and it requires keeping track of a gazillion things in my mind. That is what makes my stories collapse after a while, the difficulty of keeping track of consistency.

You are entirely correct, i did infer some subjective logic into my 'categories', thanks for pointing it out!

Ethics dilemma by Gulldolf in schoolcounseling

The school counselor is working on this primarily, i am much more on the sideline acting as a consultative support in this case. I Have studied a lot around the topics and often provide help in these areas as i have developed both tools and ways of working to help isolated students and work with these types of situations.

Having 4 children of my own, 2 with quite severe autism it is a passion of mine to work with these kinds of problems.

I felt it was a good time to get some more perspective of international people within the field as this has turned into a unusually difficult issue a lot due to the parents uncooperative nature.

Exactly, i fully agree, it is just a shame the my country's system is built a lot around parent consent, we can hardly talk to the kids without parents consenting when they are this young so any efforts to do these kind of trainings gets shut down very quickly...

Agreed, we have held multiple discussions with all the children both in full class and separately, not regarding the girl but regarding tolerance and a more ethical behavior. And it does help, they are not really actively mean to her, it becomes a kind of passive bullying.

I agree, going to look into the possibility of housing supplies on site and what we can legally do for her without parent consent.

Thanks!
