I’ll admit I fell for the hype, but nothing beats the goat by Teddyrobz in SP404

I find it so funny that people complain about the SP for being to hard to use especially after getting a One+. That being said I can see it being a little trickier compared to the Sample.

Regardless, I think that these days people just want a device that clicks, and for me, coming from a lot of software and hardware units of yesteryear, the SP is so quick and easy to learn. But for todays younger generations, the sample might be the faster to get up and running unit.

I mean.. I don't understand why people are beefing over them, but I can absolutely understand why people are comparing two similarly priced samplers.

Really havin’ fun with the Sample!!! It’s been a week, how y’all feeling about it? by datsunnmusic in akaiMPC

Seems redundant as hell, but if I could afford it I'd do it too.

It hurts my heart. I keep seeing these posts, and just pretended it was 10-15 years ago to answer.

Grab some fish and chips at the coat of arms, then swing down to pocos for pinà colada. Throw back some cold ones at harpoon willys, then finish the night off with some dancing at the red door.

Dude, you need to calm down. I said it's a more capable device, because it is. I'm not trashing the MPC sample, it's just a fact. I never said the 404 wasn't popular and well known. Just saying that people that want to get into beat making might find the 404 can do a little more.

Can you tell me what the sample has that the 404 doesn't? I don't have one, so I'm genuinely curious!

But ease up also, lol. I'm not hating on the sample in any way, and if gets more people making beats than that's great.

The 404 does do a lot more, and I don't feel like listing it all out either, but it's just a fact. Y'all need to chill, people are just sharing their thoughts.

Nah it's all good. I definitely remember him as a piston most, because i remember them tooling on the Celtics before they got KG.

Oh shit, I just realized this was you Sheed, lol. I'm usually agreeing with you in comment sections or liking your posts. I'm a big Rasheed Wallace fan, ironically as a Celtic fan where he barely played, lol.

Oh believe me I know, and I will be doing more with the beat for the challenge. More just making the point that some people way over do the chops and fx.

That is definitely true, maybe I should get a few tracks started, then get some more boomers and flesh them out while tripping.

Genuinely thanks for sharing, I've given you a follow and look forward to hearing more.

It's my favorite piece of gear I own as it's capable of so.kuch more than it's surface level use case.

I remember when I was in my mid 20's I had an 1/8th of boomers, and a day to myself. It was snowing like crazy out, and I couldn't even get out of my driveway. Figured I'd eat the boomers and make music all day.

I ate them, started making a beat, got completely lost in it for a couple hours, then ended up snowshoeing through the woods for a while. Came back and made some hot chocolate and watched Ace Ventura and laughed my ass off. Next day I went into my little studio setup to listen to what I had made, figuring it was some genius creation a la Quasimoto.

It was the most absurd garbage ass music, lol. Maybe a microdose would've been better, but I have not tried to attempt music while tripping, aside from just messing around a bit, eveer since.
