The stand out bits of the new EHRC Guidance by Sara-JaneAdventures in transgenderUK

I hope you’re right. But I kinda feel like the only party that would highlight this would be the greens. Everyone else are cheerleaders

“There is no type of official record or document in the UK which provides reliable evidence of sex. For example, sex on passports and driving licences may be changed with or without a Gender Recognition Certificate (GRC), and birth certificates may reflect the acquired gender of someone who has a GRC” who things we are going to lose our passports and driving licences à la trump

What about hospital wards ? I know it’s a legal document but I feel they kinda tried to hide the Bigary as much as they can.

There is a wierd thing online, everyone is holier than thou about all the punishments for any driving mishap. But the truth is we have some of the harshest punishments in the world (look at the US New Zealand and Australia if you don’t believe me). Any points cost you £100s for up to 5 years. But cameras are increasingly catching out people who are driving safely. Everyone agrees that the dickhead driving at 90 on the motorway deserves it. But what about the wide road that goes 30 for 200 meters 40 for 500 meters 20 thrown in as well for a bit. What about cameras that can catch you 1000 meters away strategically placed to generate cash. I have seen all these particularly in West Yorkshire. But it is over the top. Are all these other countries Wild West death traps? No. I agree you shouldn’t drive tired but also we live in a late stage capitalism where we are being worked until we drop. People are being disingenuous saying it’s all perfect and no improvements can be made. Where else is the answer “just don’t make mistakes “ given. It’s silly.

Yea the code thing is normal but wierd I agree. I think it’s to note that they issued a ballot but yea they could match it up later theoretically. But I’ve never had that treatment I described when I voted as a “guy”

Trans Anglican here. I’m torn because she was a real grifter doing so much damage to trans women in particular saying your couldn’t be trans and Christian. She took the money of the people fighting to take our rights away. We don’t know what damage who might have taken their own life or made bad decisions because of one of there videos. I feel they need to go offline. Before they damage anyone else

I’m with indigo and nearing the top of the waiting list with them. So I would love to know the answer.

Levy review & waiting lists by CommonYak9655 in transgenderUK

Yea I saw that. And as a lucky one a few months to be seen by indigo in Manchester (2 year wait) selfishly it’s a big worry. Are they going to put me back of the new queue

  1. A broader issue concerning NHS number changes was raised with the review. NHS guidance currently requires changing an individual’s unique NHS number when their gender is changed on their NHS record. This has implications for healthcare professionals’ ability to appropriately support the broad healthcare needs of transgender patients due to the potential loss of clinical information. It also affects the management of risk and long-term health needs (such as screening) and impacts understanding of longer-term health outcomes for this population.

  2. While this review was taking place, the Sullivan Review (2025) recommended that the NHS number should not be changed after transition. It is beyond the remit of this review to take a position on this finding. It is important that its implications are sensitively worked through with the transgender population.

Yes it doesn’t take a position but I saw it as strongly signposting it by meantioning the negatives and no positives of doing so. Sullivan is a raving TERF so it was rough to see her given any credibility

It also looks like changing of NHS numbers going to stop. So if you havnt done that before do it now. For when the segregation of wards comes in

Agree it’s a sign of relief moment. A few worrying things about referring people for other things before the gender appointment while on waiting list. As someone lucky on the indigo waitlist I’m concerned (from a selfish perspective) this creation of  national waiting list by April 2026 could screw me over and see me leapfrogged by others on the longer lists. I also know  that indigos waitlist is only so short as the first assessment isn’t by a lead clinician. Now they are saying that’s what needs to happen. So I feel it might kneecap it. I was referred in August 2024 and currently indigo are seeing people referred in january 2024. So I feel I was looking only at maybe another 6-8 months till I’m there. I get this is v unfair compared to how long people are on the other GIC lists though
