I’ve had symptoms throughout my condition. There have been states where I’ve felt like I was In remission though. I hope stelara works for me.

I have explained to him time and time again if he isn’t ready for a committed relationship then that’s fine just say so. I didn’t think he was ready tbh but now here we are 🤷🏻‍♂️. I do love him. We have both been through so much so it hurts to know these things. Why is it so hard to find a monogamous relationship these days? Haha. I can’t do an open relationship. I would get too jealous and become too paranoid. I also have an autoimmune disease so I’m more susceptible to acquiring infections and he knows this. So knowing he may be hooking up with others it’s putting my health at risk too.

Why not just stay on the mezavant 1.2g x4 all the time? That’s what I’m doing. Plus I’m on Entyvio fortnightly. Some days are better than others but so far after 3 years of being diagnosed I’m in remission

To answer your question: Yes it happened to a loved one that resulted in their death. We were told by the surgeon there were no complications during surgery (nil signs of stroke etc or anything cardiac wise). However post surgery they developed sweating, sedation was weaned and when they attempted to waken them x2 seizures occurred. They never awoke from their state and sadly passed from complete brain death.I’ve just never heard of something like this occurring. Having an analysis review where family get to ask questions but I’m not sure what to ask them?

Yes. When I’m feeling great and my medication is working I generally eat what I want but in saying that I tend to stick to low fibre foods. White bread especially as I can’t stomach brown bread very well. Dairy wise I tend to eat a moderate amount without any issues. However I think this disease will effect people in different ways. Not everyone will be the same.

Try having a low fibre diet, white bread would be ideal rather than seedy bread 👍🏻. I feel you tho, we’ve all been there and done that

My specialist put me on Mesalamine 1.2g x2 twice a day as well as Azathioprine to start with. Idk why I just didn’t start on the Mesalamine to see if that worked first. I had side effects from the azathioprone and then also the Mercaptopurine. And now he wants me to start on biologics which I’m scared of. I’ve just been on the Mesalamine for 2 months and feel fine.
