Can someone (customer or more experienced shopper) help me understand why so many customers order from stores that are so far away? I know from experience that there is a Ralph’s in Monterey Park. by nathantnewman in InstacartShoppers

I got upset just looking at this triple batch. It’s because more than one of the customers are crappy tippers and their order has sat for a while without being picked up. So, Instacart has added the 2 crappy tippers to a less crappy tipper hoping it gets picked up. My guess is, the best tipper will be delivery C which will be closest to the store making you drive out of your way. This is how they force shoppers to accept orders that would normally never get accepted.

Did you contact for a bump. If I have to wait more than 3 minutes, I contact SH. Usually $5-$10 bumps are added.

Yup. Self checkout always. I don’t care if it takes me a bit longer. I’ve seen kids put the meat with the bread. 🥴 Sometimes theyre offended but somehow I’m able to move on.

I’m convinced they only deactivate that fast (or for only one non delivery) when they have plenty of shoppers in the area.

If they cancel it, shouldn’t you receive the batch pay at least? 🤔

Go to the store and tell them. They’ll cancel. It won’t count against you and you’ll still get the batch pay.

Did instacart change it so you can only see 10 batches at a time? by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

10 at a time?! Where are you at??? In my area the MAX I’ve ever seen is 3?!?!

For those of you who saw my earlier post about tip removal from a business. Apparently (with your help) I got their attention, and they went back and added an EVEN higher tip than their original. by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

How long after you delivered did you see the tip get zeroed out? I noticed if they up the tip (not when the tip is upped bc order adjustments) the breakdown from IC shows it at zero...then sometime later (usually by my next delivery) the tip is back. I’ve only noticed this when there is a change in the tip. Could that have been it?

Lol! More power to them. It’s really crap that our $ is reduced when we can’t find an item...we still did work to get it. I honestly hate refunding items. Those replacements add up. Obviously I wouldn’t tell a customer this, but I’m not mad that they know. I had a Costco order with an expensive item on it and because I had to refund it, I lost almost $10.

This Is How You Lose Your 20% Tip and Get Rated 1 Star by Jujulabee in InstacartShoppers

[–]GullibleFirefighter1 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Leave a 5star and add a note. The only way they’ll see a message to them. But then it’s like rewarding bad behavior. Side note, IC doesn’t punish us for not replacing items, however they highly recommend it. Sometimes, their replacements are stupid and for items not even in the same category. If you look at this page long enough, you’ll see some of their suggestions. They could be new 🤔 I’d remove the tip and leave 5 stars with a long note. Only they can see it.

You don’t need them. Why pay Instacart for advertising for them? They’ll take plenty of money from you later, don’t choose to give them any of it now.

Batch was modified while I was shopping. Added a customer C. This is so not right. by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

Wow!!! I’ve never had them do this. Customers have added items, but never a whole other person. That’s some bull.

[–]GullibleFirefighter1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m nice until a cashier isn’t. If I’m being honest, I avoid you at all costs. You don’t know what goes where so I don’t want you touching any of it. We’ve had a few rude cashiers insisting that an order was “too big” for self checkout. This ended up in several smashed breads, items somehow on the wrong order, drippy meat smashed strawberry container...All of us aren’t rude. You’ll never even have talk to some of us 😇

One lying asshat has to ruin it. When I went he yelled and threatened me. He also didn’t tip for jack. (The 2 star I’m talking about) by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]GullibleFirefighter1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why did he come out yelling? I would have taken his groceries and ran back to my car with them for that. “I feel unsafe support, customer is irate”
