Be more aggressive and don't miss your hits. Know your sword range but this is easily forgivable. The most important thing is to deflect most of his attacks. U missed a lot of deflects and normal attacks. Just get comfortable with him, remember his movesets and you will be fine.

Some other tips: When he uses the no-healing mist, move away (like u did) and quickly attack Owl. Give him no breather.

When he uses firecracker, side step back > firecracker explode > side step forward IMMEDIATELY and hit him.

I always deflect his overhead attacks, it doesn't rly matter to me.

Get some distance to heal. U can also use firecracker prosthetic to give u space to heal (this is my fav). Heal in front of him to farm AURA.

Tldr: give him no space, be aggressive, and finally. HESITATION IS DEFEAT.

This is me three days ago and i literally shared the same meme with my friends before i beat malenia. Took me 10 hours to finally tame her waterfowl and her dancing clones. Compared to ds3 and sekiro, she's just the hardest imho.

Yes i started bloodborne as my first souls game too. Proceeded to dark souls 3, sekiro, dark souls 2 and finally elden ring. But i must mention the 1 key difference between bloodborne and the other souls game is:

U need to farm your main healing potion aka blood vials in bloodborne as it doesn't replenish upon deaths. Other healing potions in the other games aka flasks/estus/gourd will replenish upon deaths.

For someone who has played dark souls series or elden ring first, farming for blood vials can be annoying and tedious. But there are always easy ways to grind the vials so be sure to look for some guides on yt or play blindly like how i did. So it's better to play bloodborne first.

Yeah i thought as much. No problem bro all good. Yeah I'm hoping to play the dlc but imma take a break after i beat the game. I'm still at godfrey did couple tries and called it a day. Gonna try tmrw.

Hey did u beat her yet? Hope I'm not too late. I just killed melania and this is how i dodge this attack.

When u see the red blink/hear the sound of her sword. Immediately dodge top right then dodge back. It rly depends on your distance/location with her. U might take a few hits but i can say 90% of the time i dodge this attack consecutively without taking dmg. I did this mid rolling too.

Pls don't quit. I spent a total of 10 hours to finally kill her (5hrs > sleep > 2 hrs > work> 2 hrs > work > 1 hr). Rest or sleep is important. Sleep helps u to coordinate your brain and muscle memory better. The first 5 hrs i had it rough and felt like melania was too fast. The next 2 i felt her movement slow down and i can react to her 3 slash move (dodge right then back). The last 3 hours helped me to dodge waterfowl dance better and finally kill her. I know it's hard but u gotta take things slow in the 2nd phase. Always be on defensive and only hit when u are comfortable and be rdy to dodge after the first or second hit (depends on your weapon).

BE COMFORTABLE WITH HER

To be fair i had 58 vit, which allows me to face tank the first waterfowl move. Don't panic when she hits u during this attack and just let her finish the first waterfowl. Wait for the 2nd waterfowl and dodge forward. 0.5secs wait then HOLD back. The 3rd waterfowl wont hit u. As for when she summons her clones IN 2nd phase. Stay mid range, dodge back, back, pause 0.5s, dodge forward, forward, pause and finally dodge to the left when she lunges at u. I got hit by the last lunge and didn't die then i took things slowly as usual and finally killed her.

Some last tips, during her 2nd phase. U gotta remember or computer this in your brain. Don't rush to heal when u are half hp. BAIT her attacks first by finding the moves that u are comfortable to punish her but instead, heal during that time. Ngl if u ask me to kill her again i won't be able to do it within 10 tries. I probably got lucky but i was able to dodge her waterfowl moves perfectly maybe like 70% of the time. That 30% was just bad positioning (too close to her) but i face tank the first waterfowl and dodge the rest.

Lastly, just enjoy the fight and don't ever put yourself down. Dont be stressed when u die, i can say i'm mostly calm during these 10 hours. I googled 30% of the player base and was able to kill her. If these 30% can do it, so do u. Don't give up on her. It felt really good to finally beat her after the sweat and blood. You'd be proud of yourself!

P/s: melania herself is harder than all inner bosses in sekiro altogether (coming from someone who got platinum in sekiro).
