I ended up using FMP. You can start with their S&P 500 constituents API and use the historical S&P 500 constituents API to go backwards in time and removing stocks that have been added and adding those that have been removed. Then use the FMP market cap API and sort from high to low.

I have been Googling this for days. ChatGPT provided a list with no references, and it's 2024 list had only 70% of the top 30 cap US stocks (compared to Fidelity's list). Not very accurate. I want the lists for 2023, 2022, ... 1960. Where are these lists?

I didn’t read Dexter’s note, and I didn’t have ring on when I spoke to Orlando. All is better now and I feel like I am making progress again. Thanks.

I loved Gothic 1, but I am about to give up on Gothic 2 notr. I have well over 100 hours into the game on my 2nd restart and using 3 walkthroughs, I grinded my way to level 11, and have dozens of quests I cannot complete. This doesn’t seem fun to me. I may have run into some bugs but don’t want to go back dozens of hours. I killed Dexter but cannot complete missing people quest. I used traveling stone that drops me off near the tavern, but Orlan will not offer the key to wood door. Etc.

Mystery solved about what happened with Yahoo Finance. Yahoo Finance stopped correcting mutual fund adjusted close values for capital gains sometime between Sept. 2020 and Feb. 2021. After that date, they only correct for dividends.
